I enjoy the dynamics of interacting. What's not to love about that? b) Why do you need a specific day? Why just once a week? (Rhetorical. Please don't fill in the blanks.) I've never been real good at dating. For me, a date is just time set aside for someone to get to know me. So ... whadya wanna know? I'm an open book. Your questions will tell me a lot about you. If you don't ask questions, that will tell me a lot about you. I'm looking for someone NICE and HAPPY who GIVES. I seem to attract takers; I need to get better at spotting a taker and quickly tossing them in the reject bin. Full disclosure: I'm not ready to start dating again. I'm almost there. Better to wait until I've got it goin' on again and actually have something positive and radiant to offer someone else. I put Chris off for 6 months precisely for this reason. I was still wallowing in "being divorced" and all of the weirdness that went along with that. |

Champion 6046 New York, NY | Subject: RE: RIOW - Singles THREAD oh did I take care of things....but with the boy toy - his birthday was tuesday. we celebrated yesterday.... and as to dating, well, I waited until I wanted to be out there. After my divorce I was SO ready - I went out with someone different every night!!! (no nothing happened still hand tossed pizza ) then fell in love (way too early) and a year and a half later when that ended I was devastated, went into hiding for six months then gradually came out to play - and dated different men, nothing serious..... Currently with someone since end of August - a new record!!! so we shall see, having fun - when it stops being fun well I don't fear dating.... |

We finally got into court on 12/23, and got alot on paper (and I officially have my kids 10 of 14 days), but the divorce itself is still no further. It should not be this difficult. I don't see how people are ready to date so quick after a divorce, but she's been living with this guy since 6 months after we were separated - you women are funny like that.... After a year and a half of being alone, I'm quite OK with that, and definetly don't want to start "dating", I'd just like someone to go to dinner with occasionally, or some nice female company to a movie (or to rent a movie) sometime. I'm almost 37, too old to play the high school dating games.... |
