I'm speechless Malcolm lost out on everything. I'm dumbfounded Lisa won the 100K.... that she was even in the running. Time for bed.

I always think it's a foolish thing for Probst to ask the jury member "if Malcom had been there how many votes would he have had?"  Who knows?  He didn't get a chance to make a statement and plead his case and answer questions.

Congrats to Deniese.   Of the three she is probably the one you possibly classify as a coat tail rider but she didn't IMO.  She played the game by being nice to people and aligned with others in an alliance and played it until the end.

WTF was wrong with Penner at the last tribal?  Was he drunk and bitter or what?  I like Penner and always will but that seemed a bit bitter and overly mean to me.

What can I say but I like crazy girls and Abi looked like a fox at the finale.

Still floored at Lisa winning fan favorite.  I guess she connects with the 30's age women or any underdog out there  who are fans and voting as well and it doesn't hurt that she played Blair Warner.

There HAD to be a campaign for Lisa. No other way to explain it.

Ya, drunk mean Penner showed up at final. I was shocked. Denise is a beot... and then he just busts out Lisa.... right before a million dollar vote... he busts here out. I do not think she had a shot... but still... speechless.

And all the jury... all bitter and angry. I really did not see that coming. I really thought this was a good game and everyone was playing. Nothing horendously scandelous this season.

At the reunion... Abi... of all the villains actually got some redemption from me. She was pretty funny.... DID you SEE the video Jeff???

RC... ya, someone is still bitter. Hero to zero fast.

What is funny to me at the reunion show is that we have a hard time recognizing the cast.  The people look so different after they are all cleaned up.  We couldn't figure out who one girl was until she planted a kiss on Jeff.

Seemd like there was a lot of bitterness at final tribal, but a lot of it had calmed down by the reunion.

Yeah, Penner crossed a line.  He made a lot of sense on one hand.  Stated that if you are NOT in the final 3, you are going to be bitter.  So I thought he was going to be gracious.  Then was that bitter?  Calling Denise a beotch then just moving on made no sense.  Throwing Lisa under the bus like that?  BUT, do you REALLY think he didn't say that at ponderosa already?  I'm guessing everyone knew allready, and he just wanted to make a speach for the cameras.

I hate to say it, I was disapointed that they didn't fry Abi more.  They had the ammunition.   BUT, I have to agree, coming clean like that make me honestly sort of forgive her?  I guess we are easy to forgive if you acknowlege your flaws and come clean in this society.

Yeah, RC is still bitter.  But to be honest, I think she DID treated worse than most so I can sort of see it lingering longer for her than some of the other people.  I think it's funny that she voted for Lisa only because it vindicated (wrong word) HER deduction that Lisa was a threat at the beginning.  I don't think she thought Lisa really should have won, but voted for her because she guess she would be threat and ended sliding into the final 3.

I think it was Malcom that accused Denise of being "agreeable"?  That was wrong.  All she does is aknowlege your feelings and she lets you know that she understands your opinioin.  She is not some agreeable kiss arse.  Denise is SMART...  She knows exactly how to say things.  For example, when Abi asked for an apology.  She said "if you were TRUELY demoralized, then I'm sorry".  So it's not really an apology, but to Abi, who thinks the world revolves around her, she felt like she was demoralized and did take it for an appology.

Also, whoever said Lisa just played the middle and said her idea to blindside Malcom wasn't taking charge only because she got outvoted?  That's incorrect as well.

BTW, who did Abi vote for anyway?

Not sure if anyone else caught it...  BUT, in the little video clip of the girl from Utah, she says she thought she was "a well rounded person"...  I snickered.

Another fantastic CBS Reality Show finale...first came the best Amazing Race finale I've ever seen, now a very, very good Survivor finale.

There are three explanations for Lisa getting the "Fan Favorite" $100,000.  1) faith-based groups vote in droves.  2) folks love celebrities, and many remember her as Blair Warner.  3) heck, I liked her.  maybe she was doing some acting in there, but I really thought she developed from a clueless goody-goody into a threat in the game.

I LOVE Denise.  I loved her game.  She won with brains.  Her social game was incredibly good!  So much in life isn't what we are communicating, but how we are communicating it, and she gets that.

I respected Malcolm a lot...up until the end when we got to see he's not fully matured.  Overall, a heck of a competitor, and overall a nice guy, but he's gotta realize it's a tough game.  Basically, if Denise is voted off at that point, I don't see her behaving the way Malcolm did.

It was kind of nice to see Abi identify what she needs to work on.  She almost made me believe she can change.

On a shallow note, RC needs that island...yummy curves, just a few less pounds would transform her from yummy to delicious!

Yeah, Penner was funny...(btw, I thought he looked better on the island too)  calling Denise the B-word...then again, he did help vote her the million.

Every time I think this show is gonna jump the shark, it gives me a great season like this.

So, yep...Skupin and Lisa's mistake was not taking out Denise when they had the chance....

I was floored Malcolm stunk so bad at that challenge!  And also surprised by the fan favorite vote.

NOT pleased by another fan vs. favorites next season...how the heck am I ever supposed to get on this show if they won't stop bringing the same people back????  I wonder which "favorites" they pick....and really...almost anyone who is going to try out for this show is a fan...

2 definites a buddy of mine saw that flashed on the screen last night were Ruppert and Russell hanz.

Listen, I'm probably the biggest Russell hanz fan out there, but even I don't want a stinkin' "favorites" episode on.  Come on!  I like how they did it this season though, with just a touch of old with a lot of new...with a couple of semi-famous folks (who I still can't believe the others didn't recognize...I mean seriously, Blair Warner?  Jeff kent??  Do these contestants live under rocks?)

I don't watch baseball, and I still don't know who Jeff Kent is.

I did watch Facts of Life, and I'm not so sure I would recognize her. I mean I would more than likely think she looked familiar, but I'm not so sure I would put two and two together on the island. The show wasn't "that" popular, and she didn't end up in a crack hotel with McKenzie Phillips no not much other than FOL... and I was into Joe anyway... she was hot.

I'm sorry, I'm done with Hantz. He's an idiot. Probably the single best new contestant game ever played without securing one vote. Now for #3... no. He is a one trick pony and that trick isn't that impressive anymore.... and again with Rupert... seriously, enough all ready. Like the guy... but ya, no.

I agree with all of this. I am not a baseball fan, if you told me I was on the Island with Jeff Kent it would mean absolutely nothing to me. Lisa, I did watch that show but she has been out of the spotlight for so long it is not relevant to me.

As soon as Malcolm lost that final challenge I told my husband now we will see the flaw in his game. Being the winner, good at everything guy does not typically pay off in the end. This goes all the way back to Colby vs Tina way back when. Plus he showed Denise he did not have any true loyalty to her when he did not want to share one of his idols.

Does anyone else think Denise could be a politician? That last big talk between her and Skupin with her trying to convince him to take her over Malcolm was a work of art. There was some kind of line she said about it is one thing to be in an alliance but another to build a true friendship - she's good.

Yeah, Penner was just annoying and mean with his speech at the end. Yuck.

Abi, I'm just over her good or bad. Don't care. RC - the same.

I don't have a problem with Lisa winning the fan favorite.

I will be busy on Wednesdays night again for the next season. If it is more Russel I won't really care. Enough.

So Russell Hantz has his 4th shot at this game?  That's to many.  I know that people love to hate him but from a fireworks POV I would have rather seen Phillip Shepard "the specialist" back to see how he would play it now that his game is known.  Maybe even Colton.  Russell is a really good player and we'll see if he can make it to the end again and get any votes.

Good season.  One of the better ones in a long time.

A little googling does not show Russel or Rupert as cast members for Fans v. Favorites 2. Not sure how reliable the sources are, but it's out there if you are interested. Be careful though one of the sites is pretty detailed on their spoiling. I scrolled a little too far and it started showing the alleged final jury. You have been warned.

Anyone know when the season premiere is?

I think my favorite part of this season, and the finale, was the number of mature adults they had.  It's much more interesting than the cute girls and young bucks that can't do anything other than flirt or suntan.  I actually liked Lisa and thought she'd do well and she came out looking great at the end.  She made the right argument ("I played a messy game") and for a second there I thought maybe she had a chance.   So, the fan favorite doesn't surprise me. I am definitely in one of her key demographics though (the 30-something woman, NOT the religious).  I was rooting for Denise and was glad she won, but I could have accepted any of them.

I know it's hard to say not being there, but I can't imagine I would feel the same bitterness and I especially wouldn't show it.  Geez.  As the girl who was evacuated said - they can't all win.  They must know this.  When it's over, it's over, move on!

I watched the preview for next season, no mention of the date.  Hmmm "It's the return of one of Survivor's greatest pairings."  Would they bring back Rob and Amber?  I think they've won plenty, but who knows.  I missed a bunch of seasons in the middle, what other "pairings" have their been?

I'm not faulting her, but I agree with you. She says she is competitive, and I'm sure she wanted to come out strong and dispel any feelings of coat tail rider.... but ya when she closed with basically, "I won you, lost naner naner"... ya, I thought that might hit some a little hard. She still won, but that was a little risky.

This reminds me of my favorite part of Lisa's speech after Denise talked.  She said, basically, "Well, we all outwit, outplayed and outlasted the jury so that much is a given."  Indeed.

I found Denise's opening statement really crass and arrogant - beyond just showing confidence. Really unexpected. She was pretty much gloating. So I got the impression that's what Penner was talking about when he said she just showed everyone she's a .

Bring back RC.

That approach surprised me as well.

They should have a reunion of the worst athletes to play the game (I guess then Abi would go back).  It could be a physical comedy...

OR, just all the evil/mean/crazy people?  See if we can get a little Lord of the Flies action going?  So Russle, Abi, The FBI guy, etc.

Granted, for selfish reasons, all the super hottie girls only Survivor?
