So....Annie has put up with me for 10 years (on Friday the 30th)

The 10 year anniversary gifts are "aluminum" and "diamonds".

Since we're not financially in a spot to get her diamonds, I'm taking her to a baseball game....get it....Baseball Diamond. Would 2 'road beers' heading to the game be delinquently white trash or funny?

She also HATES surprises (in that she wants to know what's going on) and I've been very tight lipped about it. I've been making her answer questions about the past 10 years. If she gets one right, I give a hint (some are pretty cryptic). When she gets one wrong, I've said things like "oh...swing and a miss" or "struck you out with that one".

I also made a playlist (only because I couldn't find a blank CD to make a mixed tape) of songs from 2003.

In Da Club - 50 Cent
Cry Me a River - JT
Rock your Body - JT
Miss Independent - Kelly Clarkson
Body is a Wonderland - John Mayer
Jenny from the block - J.LO
Here without you - 3 Doors Down
Clocks - Coldplay
Real Good Man - Tim McGraw
Wave on Wave - Pat Green
Where's the Love - Black Eyed Peas
Landslide - Dixie Chicks
Me and You - Kenny Chesney (techinally it was a song from 2000, but it was our first dance song).

Thoughts on other things I can do? My mom is watching the babies that night.....

Nothing says romance like 50 Cent!

First question, does she even like baseball or is it something you like to do?

It's songs from the year we were married....not our favorite songs. Just to reminisce a little......not like "hey baby....you know the Dixie chicks really express what I think about you" or "that fiddy-cent dude really conveys my love"......

I dropped 5 bucks into a jukebox last night to hear songs I have on CD/Itunes.  Another downside to drinking...

Also, are bartender (who was kind of hot in a dirty girl kind of way) was a semi celeb.  She was on season two of Bad Girls Club...

Hola TAN.  Just got an MRI this morning.  I never knew that "MRI" stood for "lay in a torpedo tube while they perform construction all around you."  The highlight of the morning was when a young nurse was watching a monitor and forgot that she had already moved me partway into the tube.  She had her hand on my shoulder, took it off and then when she went to put it back without looking, it was on my thigh.  Poor thing was so embarrassed.

Best news is that the orbital scan shows no metal in my eyes... so I have that going for me.

Every time I've gotten an MRI, I fall asleep and twitch, which messes up the scan, so they have to start over. Oops.

Glad there is no metal in your eyes!

I've done that too!  And then they get all mad and huffy about it... as if NO ONE HAS EVER DONE THAT BEFORE!

I may have also fallen asleep during bone scans, on the hospital table while waiting for my surgery to start (they have to wake you up to tell you that they're putting you under), and during a colonoscopy - which was fine as the monitor was right in front of my face and I didn't really want to see what was going on up there...  Embarassed

Summer is far from over here, but as coincidence has it, they had pumpkin spice creamer out today (or first time I noticed it) at 7-11.  So I used it.

She told me/us.  I never heard of the show.  So I googled it and sure enough.  There she was.  Got into some cat fight with another girl.

I don't know if this has happened to you, but I over heard her say she was going to ride her "bike" on her day off.  So I instantly think to ask, what's her route?  What does she ride?  Trek? Cannondale?

Then I look at the tats and backwards hat and attitude.  and think...  oh yeah, wrong bike.  I have been embarrassed by assuming cycling with motorcycling on more than one occasion.

How long do they take.  My thyroid scan takes over 30 minutes.  They slide my body through a tube at like 1 inch per minute.

I believe it was around 15 min.  They kept slowly moving me in and out of the small tube while there are a lot of noise.  Things got pretty hot for a while so I was getting wet from the sweat.  You can only imagine what I felt like.  ahem.. yeah, like one of those.

Training our bodies to work efficiently in Zone 2 will help us keep our HR and pace even throughout an Ironman. This theory would hold true for the bike and run portion of an Ironman race.
