Seattle | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors v.2 thr.3 CLOSED (Poptart/pet pic bribes considered) Originally posted by brigby1 Still shorts weather I see! Yeah, sort of. The wind was sustained 40 mph at the top, so, not shorts weather haha. It's a tricky thing, mountain running. You sweat your a$$ off on the ascent but you have to manage the sweat so that when you reach the top and stop moving, you don't freeze. Then the descent is a gradual warming. Lots of layers is the trick, and shedding them before you start to sweat through. Edited by Asalzwed 2014-11-17 12:18 PM |

Torso changes at least have been fairly easy with layers and vents. Lower extremities would take more thought with running. |

Pennsylvania | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors v.2 thr.3 CLOSED (Poptart/pet pic bribes considered) Great job at achieving pie, PRs, and summits, racing/hiking manatees! Initially I was worried about Erin's J on Sunday morning, I didn't get any updates...no updates...no updates...then I embarassingly remembered AZ is a few time zones away from the East Coast! D'oh! Big congrats to J on a great IM finish! |

Big congrats to J on a great IM finish! Ha!! Funny you should mention that whole time zone oops... I did the exact same thing! I was wondering where the hell the IM tracker updates were until my friends who were in AZ jock-strapping started posting updates. What a great day out there - PR's for everyone I knew doing the race!! |

What a great day out there - PR's for everyone I knew doing the race!! It was a great day, albeit windy. I got to watch Jason cross the finish (via computer) but couldn't stay up for coach. I had 3 hours sleep in Omaha and had been up since 3:00 AM my time. |

Master 7712 Orlando | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors v.2 thr.3 CLOSED (Poptart/pet pic bribes considered) I'm not actually a horoscope person, but from time to time I like to check mine on freewillastrology.com. It has the greatest horoscopes. Here's mine for this week - I don't know that this can be topped!!
Naturalist Greg Munson says that many dragonflies are great acrobats. They are the "Cirque du Soleil" performers of the animal kingdom. Not only do they eat in mid-air, they also have sex. While flying, two dragonflies will hook up and bend into a roughly circular formation to accommodate the idiosyncrasies of their reproductive organs, thereby forming a "mating pinwheel." I don't expect you to achieve quite that level of virtuosity in your own amorous escapades, Leo. But if you're adventurous, you could very well enjoy experiences that resemble having sex while flying.

I need some partners in crime for my next HM.....April 18 Historic Petersburg HM, runs through Petersburg Battlefield where there will be a Civil War reenactment going on. Promises to be a challenging course cause the battlefield is full of hills that are short & steep with hard banks. Petersburg itself is also moderately hilly, |
