As you can see, I did 3.82 miles today.  I ran for time instead of distance, tonight.  The pace here put my 5K time at 32:27.

According to strava.com, which I've stopped using but may start using in tandem with RunKeeper, my PR 5K is 31:39.  I've entered myself into a BT challenge to cut 2 minutes off of that time!

Out for a Valentine's day wine&dine dinner with hubby - 4 course dinner, paired with wines. This will not be a low caloric affair. In the interest of love and marital harmony, I will - of course - go with the flow and eat and drink.

(Yeah, whatever - I will eat and drink because it will taste flippin' awesome and it's so worth the cheat.)

Think of it as preparation for Saturday's half mary. Unfortunately we can't call wine carbo loading.....but it is good antioxidant loading  Cool

well before starting my colonoscopy prep, the 3 day juice cleanse and light dinner got me down to 141.6 (total of 14 down from New Year's) and now down at my previous fat weight (lol)

a bit scared what the dulcolax/miralax is going to do to me but at least there is not as much solid to purge.....

I've run 92.64 miles for the year.  I may just shoot for 150 before MArch gets here.  At the very least, I'm gonna shoot for 200 by the time I turn 38 on March 28.

Today's run.

ditto on lol over girl with hand over her mouth!
tricupcake - so sorry about your mom, she's lucky to have a caring daughter by her side.

As for me:
Weight log for Tri-ing to Weightloss

1-6-2013 165
1-11-2013 163.5
1-18-2013 160.5
1-25 159.5
2-1 158.5
2-8 160.5
2-15 165

I have to say that I'm sinking into despair. I did so great on my juice plan and then I didn't. Quickly went right to crazy eating - fast food burgers, 5 oz bag of chips, drives to the store for snickers bars. I hear all the time that it is about eating in moderation, but for me it's like telling an alcoholic to stop at two beers.
I know that each day is a new day to make better choices blah, blah...
Sorry to be a bummer - I hesitate to spew this on others, don't reach out often (mushy husband who always wants to work on our marriage "jokes" that I'm the guy in the relationship), but I'm putting it out there.
Day one of my training plan seemed so far off and now it's down to 6 weeks away! I hate the thought of being fat and trying to train. I really had hoped to drop 20 lbs. to hit 140, but it isn't looking good.

Trying not to give up, will try to take it one meal at a time...

Didn't do anything special for hubby last night - he worked late and I had to take daughter to tumbling class. Going to make a creative tofu dish for tonight (he's vegetarian), will be good for the whole family.

Hope everyone is having a kick- workout day!

Mitzi

Well it was not a big loss week but it was a loss. I was Officially 255.8 last friday and this Friday I was 254.2. Still a loss but hoping for a bigger number but I have had several 4-5 pound weeks the past few so I was planning on a small loss!! 200 still the goal!!!

Sorry to hear all of this
What was the juice plan? I was late to the thread, but I thought I've seen you say "juice fast" before... was this the first time you've done it or do you do it regularly?

I think for some people, "fasting" and depriving tend to backfire more than anything... (but of course for others it works just fine) maybe for you it's not the best solution?

HANG IN THERE!!!! Juice only maybe isn't the plan for you. There IS way you can do it. You just have to find it. Glad you put it out here. We have all been there.

A little bit of good and a lot of bad today.  The little bit of good is that I managed to drag my bootie out of bed for a 500 yard swim.  It wasn't great, but it happened which was my only goal for today.  Now for the bad.  Found out today that my mom also has a cancerous tumor on her spine and got confirmation that one of her kidneys has shut down.  The doctor is recommending chemo and radiation, but she's so weak right now that I don't think she would survive it.  So I reacted by binge eating on a Big Mac and fries.  Now for a little bit more good.  I'm going to my first spin class tomorrow morning and although I'm super nervous about it, my only goal is to make it through class without dying.  Then on to a gait analysis with my physical therapist and maybe a big ol' nap in the afternoon.

BAH!!  Damned scale is missing.  I'll have to weigh myself on the excessively used and suspect scales at the gym when I do a brick in the morning.

Unless I decide I need the day off.  My shins and ankles have been bugging me, lately, during my runs.  My next race isn't until 2Jun13, so one day off will only put me a bit behind for my 1000 miles in one year goal.

Sorry about the news on your mom, Tricupcake...but don't beat yourself up about your reaction - pretty normal it seems.

Take care - will keep you both in my thoughts.

That news beyond stinks. So sorry. Your reaction was temporary and you got your swim in. The spin class will be great. Stomp cancer with each pedal stroke! You are in my thoughts. Hang in there.

In the words of the old school Iron Chef, the spin challenge is ovah!  I didn't do the climbs but also didn't stop spinning.  The only thing I can think about now is that my bootie is killing me.  Seriously, when do spin seats start to not feel like a special form of torture?  And because the seat was so uncomfortable, I leaned a lot of my hands which made my wrists hurt.  I'm going to go back next week, but I feel a love/hate relationship with spinning starting.

Love Rox in Richmond.  In fact, you could safely skip most of the RMS races without missing anything.

Where do they do their races? I stick to the VB and OBX areas, usually. No tunnels. Lol
