Hey, just checking in for a moment. I love the animal pictures, although I don't need anymore snake pictures. Thank you. Or rats. (Although that was a sad, but also heart warming story.)

I'm still recovering emotionally. Thank you all so much for the kindness in your comments on my race report. I have been in a really dark spot lately, not desperate, or anything, just dark. But I still got my swim workout in for today. I'm behind in my TdF challenge, but I think I can make that up once hubby gets back out on the road.

Anyway, I'm still hanging in there. I'm just coming to terms with aging, I guess. I could just blame it on menopause, I guess. Yell

Thanks for the heal-up wishes   It would've almost been worth it had there been midnight shenanigans involved. Innocent

I did a short swim tonight and my core stuff, but refrained from doing much on my foot and knee. I'm really looking forward to my Sunday morning ride, so I don't want to screw it up! Undecided

Erin, I'm glad you are being smart after your run in with the stairs. Don't add more to the injury by pushing it too much.

Felicia - You are tough, you are strong! Keep after it and remember that the race is with ourselves.

Kate - I have to agree with others, your job rocks!

I have a brick on tap for this morning, and a long run tomorrow morning.  What is on tap for everyone that isn't racing this weekend? Enjoy whatever is on the schedule for you!

I did a zone 2 90min run today, so tough to stay in the zone!  But by the last 40mins I think I really got the pace right.

Tomorrow I'm on the trainer for over two hours I think.  Best watch something good.

I just watched live the ITU race from Kitzbuhel Austria - if you get a chance watch it.  Firstly for Alistair Brownlee blowing away the opposition like they were standing still.  Secondly I've not seen climbs like that EVER.  I wouldn't drive up those hills.

Rode my bike this morning, too.  It did not go as well as Judi's ride.

I tipped over - stopped at the top of the hill and then couldn't get started again because the trailer has so much inertia.  Of course, E freaked out and started screaming.  So, I had to call DH to come get her.  Then she screamed because daddy put her in the car.  In the process of tipping over, I messed up my front derailleur and it won't shift into the big ring.  Guess I'm heading to the bike store tomorrow.

Ouch, I hope you, E, and your bike are all OK.

Hahaha! You did it! New avi is killing me.

I'm still trying to figure out what's going on in the new avi.

Kirsten made it for me. Someone mentioned that I was a genie in another thread and she put that together. I nearly spit out my drink when I first saw it and I knew it had to go on there for a little while. It makes me smile a bit.

I FINALLY see it! It was the same one as before until this morning.

Will someone please tell me why I signed up fora a fall marathon knowing how disgusting it gets around here all summer?  I *ran* (have to use that term loosely cause it barely resembled running) 9 miles this morning and just want to puke now.

We went to the 50m pool yesterday and were going to take turns doing laps and watching kids...the weather had other plans.  A monsoon/haboob started to whip itself up so I didn't even take time to get in. Kids swam for a bit and DH did a few laps.

THE BEST part was my son diving off the board for the first time. He just walked up to me and said, "I'm going to dive now, mom."  After walking out, he didn't even hesitate or act worried. Did about 10 times without any flops or flip-overs. I was just a weeeeee bit the proud mama Laughing

have fun Jo. It's a little after 4am here waiting for my taxi to the airport. Heading to uni for the week got to somehow fit a 5km run in today. I might have to do it on the TM at the gym tonight. See how I hold up after the flight, I always feel like after flying so a run might be just what I need.

To be fair, it's particularly bad this summer.  You're going to rock, though!!

You have my sympathy. We had humidity today, and it was miserable. (We are usually very dry.) Hubby signed up for a gym membership, and I think I just might take advantage of the treadmills and spin bikes for a while. It's so comfy in there, and their music is better than the music in my head.

Thanks! I re-used my Wonder Woman tutu (seemed appropriate for 4th of July weekend); my mom made E's.  I've been getting lots of questions about why A (DH) isn't wearing one, so she offered to make one for him too.

We had lots of fun! E didn't want to have her picture taken, so she looks a little grumpy, but she loved the run and the glow sticks we got.
