My son came down with a flu-like virus Saturday, which actually ended up with him spending Sunday night in the hospital due to dehydration and low blood sugar. He was kind enough to share it with me, so I was down all day Sunday w/ a 3 yr old to care for (she didn't catch it) and then everyone trying to get back to some semblance of normalcy yesterday. Needless to say, I've been offline for awile - did I miss anything exciting????  Congratulations to our Ironman CdA finishers - what an amazing achievement. I'm always inspired reading about the perseverence and fortitude on display at an event like that. It is quite humbling, to be perfectly honest. You gals are amazing!!!!! |

My daughter wants to work there when she grows up "because the letters on the building are all rainbow and pretty!"  |

I had no plan or goal so I didn't feel it was my best effort. I did finished 4th in my AG - my best friend won our age group. I need to get older quick - she's too fast for me. All in all - it was a nice weekend. I got away from Tony for the night. LOL I'll try to get a RR up soon. And can somebody tell these Senators to stop screwing with that crappy Financial bill. It's making my work life very difficult!!!! |

My goal this year is to not let the boys CC team pass me before the 1 mi turn around. Those kids are sprinting as they go by. Hoping to go sub 7 this year, this race seems to always be my first, first sub 10, sub 9, and sub 8, so hoping to keep the tradition alive. |

It is about 6mi from the house so I am riding over, doing the race, and then riding home... I have only done 10k's as part of a Olympic distance tri, so this will be a new experience for me! Pacing will be important and is my achilles heel right now... I keep wanting to go faster but my lungs and legs can't keep up yet... (I know Suzy - have patience) I will post up totals tonight, as I still have 2200 yds of swimming and about an hour on the bike followed by a 15min transition run tonight... |
