I agree!!!! And guitar lessons. I'd take 100,000 guitar lessons until I could play the damned thing. I tried about 10 years ago and it was probably the hardest thing I've ever done.

So, basically I'd learn a bunch of languages, I'd play the guitar, and I'd travel. With my dumpster. And maybe the cats.

And that's EXACTLY how it happens.  It's a slippery slope.  My FIL has them all and instructor's rating on almost all.  He's offered to teach all the kids when they turn 14.  Yikes!

To all of you who want to fly--have you seen the wingsuit videos?  Unbelievably cool.  My husband is obsessed with them!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTHeStjAPYA

I told him he has the green light as soon as the kids are through college.

Race cars again. Except make it more of a weekly thing rather than a monthly hobby.

We could buy a very fast car and some motorcycles and a big bus that can haul us and all of our stuff and go from racetrack to racetrack and triathlon to triathlon for a while. And get a dog and a cat.

If time and money really were no object?  I would do EVERYTHING.  My personal goal is try to learn something new every day - no matter how small or how big.

If I had unlimited time, I would have that much more to learn.

In a way, I watch Groundhog Day and get jealous of Bill Murry's character Phil.  He basically had infinite time to learn stuff (piano).

I guess what comes to the forefront, is learn multiple languages fluently, and get a medical degree.  I would really like to be able to heal people if I could.

Well I may have this opportunity coming up in the next few months to sell my house and pay off ALL of my debts 100%. Then I can save up for a bit, and build my dream house on some more land to grow my own personal farm.

Switch, well I would divide my time between my boat, beach house and apartment in Rome!
I have always wanted to say some version of that!

Word.

I have found that almost anything becomes interesting once you get some background knowledge.

If time and money weren't factors, my life would be completely different from how it is now where I have no choice but to trade time for money.

Guitar is not so hard, but like any instrument it takes practice and that is where most people give up. Go take some lessons from someone who has been given a good reputation for good quality lessons and has people that play well when done. But, remember that there is always someone that can teach you something. I have been a long haired hippy freak rock band person for most of my life playing electric guitar and opening for some big named bands and doing that was great at the time, but I have also gone back to playing bass guitar, and now a stand-up bass or double bass depending upon how you know the instrument and am learning how to use the bow for songs. I have met a large amount of people because of playing music and just being able to jam from time to time is great. Sit around a fire and play music and have some wine, beer or other beverages is a great way to spend the evening.

I'd join you on this quest! After going to France and Mexico, I've been quite fascinated with learning different cultures and languages.

I would basically just save for a few years and start over with a bigger yard.

Compete more in horse events.  I only get to do about 4 horse shows a year, and just the little ones.  The big shows in the area cost about $3000 by the time you figure in shipping the horse, care for a weekend, trainer costs, hotel, and show fees.

And yet there are people that show about every other weekend!

The horse show world laughs at triathlon expenses...especially when the going rate for the top horses to be competitive is around $80,000.

I would stay home and work in my garden, refinish old furniture, write, paint, train, walk nature trails, bake cookies and take them to elderly people who are lonely and go to the beach on beautiful days and NOT be stuck in an office all day.....

I would go to a third world country and love on some underprivileged kids and do what I could to help

I would train for an Ironman :-)

Not really, I mean I have some moves, don't get me wrong, but I want to be that old guy that can get up and tear up a dance floor one day. I think it would be really fun.

So when it comes to triathlon, the largest investment we make, in both terms, comes in the bike. Looking at ways to get faster, while considering a budget, is a bind for most triathletes.

A few factors are at the basis of increasing running speed. In my experience these factors are: variety, “pain,” time and injury prevention.
