My Sunday Sundae! Ice cream once a week, as much as I feel like-no measuring, no worrying. Hasn't done any noticeable harm and keeps me mentally healthy. Yummm . . . just six more days . . .

Judging by these reaponses, I really think that if someone could corner the market on a "Triathlete's Ice Cream" that could be eaten in T1 or T2 or after the race they could make a million dollars!!!!

cobannero - 2005-04-18 2:57 PMI just had pizza today. NY has the best pizza in the US (THAT'S RIGHT!!).

New York DOES have the best pizza in the world.  I miss it and am constantly on the hunt in Philly for pizza that will stack up.

Oh well, when in Philly it's gotta be a CHEESESTEAK.

OMG!!! Geno's!!?

Is that in the Italian Market? I think I was at a martial arts seminar in Philly and I think we ate there for lunch....I'm thinking that's the place!! YUMMY.

Anyways.........I'm gonna have to go with the DQ Oreo Blizzard. With a lame substitution of the golden arches' Oreo McFlurry. I'll probably have a new addiction by the time next year rolls around...

My weakness, consumed without a second thought, and bought in bulk at my house: Stouffer's Animal Crackers

Geez, where to start? One of the following:
a) Banana Royale from Baskin Robbins with Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice cream, or
b) tuna with hot peppers and dill pickles,
c) guacamole (my secret recipe!!), or
d) a big amaretto sour!

No, not all at once!!

For all of you who love Peanut Butter and Chocolate ice cream, an excellent brand is Dreyer's Dreamery Peanut Butter Dream. It only comes in pints (well here at least) and is a chocolate base with peanut butter cups and a peanut butter ribbon. SO good!

Pizza!!! - Any size, any flavor, but prefer a true Chicago Stuffed Pizza. Gained 60 pounds in 5 years of living in Chicago. Don't want to say I have it down to a science, but figure 350 calories per slice - 140 calories per mile run - 20 mile run and I get to eat the whole damn thing.

Oh man, I feel for you. When I lived in Philly I never did find a pie that wasn't a half-inch thick bread wheel with a thought of some sauce and way too much cheese. I grew up on the Jersey shore (where the pizza is NY style) and I have to have some every time I go home for a visit.

But my normal indulgences -- chocolate chip cookies, and FRENCH FRIES. MMMmmm. Not fast-food fries either, but thick, potato-ey, crispy, so-hot-they-burn-your tongue honest-to-pete fries. With malt vinegar. Mmmmm. I don't go for them too often, but when I do I am very, very happy.

Sunday nights I have a DQ banana split. It's my weekend treat and I always save points for it. (I'm on lifetime Weight Watchers.)

After a race it's sushi...as much of it as I can inhale. We go to Todai, all you can eat sushi, and I can down a good 20 pieces of sushi. It's the BEST post-race meal evah!

DQ Blizzard - Reese's peanut butter cup, Chocolate extreme, or choc chip cookie dough.  Haven't had one in over a month.  Four pounds of fat to go.

Man, I'm salivating just going thru these posts.

You know, we all plan our training, our finances (at least some of us do), etc. Since I indulge one meal a week then I might as well make a list of the 52 best food indulgances list for the year and make that one of my resolutions for the year. Who's in? Go ahead, but you better make sure you're going to stick to it!

I'm with you on that! After my "hard" 10k a couple of weeks ago, I told my BF that he was taking me out to Sushi that night -- while I was still in the finish chute!

My favorite is the Unagi -- but I can only eat two because they're so rich.

My favorite indulgence?  Well, being a small-town raised Iowa boy it's one thing:

STEAK

A beautiful 16 oz., yes a whole pound, corn-fed, Black Angus ribeye with the fat just marbled all the way through, cooked rare, i.e. barely cooked at all with a cool center.  No potatoes, thanks, just the steamed vegetables and dry Cabernet with something chocolate for desert.

Okay, now I know what my post-race evening meal is going to be.  I can hold off until April 30th, really I can.

Oh, and by the way, Chicago deep-dish pizza is the ONLY kind of pizza.  I gotta get to Chi-town for my Giordano's fix SOON!

My kingdom for a Rubios #1 combo, but as I don't live in California anymore I'll have to vote for Ben and Jerrys Phish food, the whole pint thank you. Amazing how well I run the day after this indulgence.

Where to begin.....

oh year with BEER! if not a good Belgian, like Lucifer or Chimay, then Red Hook ESB

Followed by proper pommes frites with homemade mayonaisse and grilled bratwurst with cheedar and kraut on a hard roll

If it's summer, I'll marinate a beef brisket in whiskey and worstershire sauce and smoke it for about 6 hours, sliced fine and served with slaw

serve with a pitcher of Gilligans

10oz dark rum, 4oz Triple sec, 2oz cocanut rum,1tsp vanilla extract,1 12 oz can orange/pinepple juice concentrate,24 oz water, lots of ice

or a chocolate cloud cake.............or maybe.......
