Thanks, Roni and Laura, for adjusting the spreadsheet!!

It's my weigh in day and I'm up again. I started P90X Monday and I'm wondering if my body is freaking out and holding on to water. Also haven't gotten as much cardio as I'd like with the kids home for spring break. Hopefully body will adjust and I'll go in the other direction again.

Welcome to the new folks!  Great to have you along!

And Judi - you've already met your goal (YAY! Go, Judi!) ... gonna put a new one out there or just maintain from here on out?

I really don't know yet, I may try for a few more pounds, but not more than 5 cause I really feel pretty good at my current weight.  I just know I need to be diligent or weight finds a way to reclaim my assets Tongue out

Weigh-in day!

I'm about the same as last week... not surprising since I really didn't work out this week while I'm still recovering from the flu/sinus infection.  Actually - I'm pretty pleased that I kept my weight constant even without the extra calorie burn.

FINALLY got my body fat tested again... down 2.29% from last October!  Not a huge improvement, but definitely in the right direction.  The dude who runs the place thinks that another 3% down would not only be a good goal, but might be an end goal for me.  That's another 6 or so pounds of fat to lose (that's the trick - losing fat mass but not lean mass), which falls in line with my weight loss goals.

Of course, I'm now at the point where I always seem to get stuck.  My body LIKES being around this weight.

I'm going to be mixing things up a bit, though:  got a rowing machine a few weeks ago and a Jungle Gym XT yesterday (think: TRX but gets better reviews and is half the price).  While this season is about going fast, my other top priority is getting strong and lean.  Here we go!

I updated the spreadsheet. Such as it is (no change to report). However, I did change the title to reflect the Swimsuit edition.

I'm up this week, but I also took measurements so I'll have more to compare than just the scale. My training's being going well and all things considered I don't think I did too bad with nutrition. I did do some stress eating as it has been a very stressful week, but at least it was on healthy foods. Of course, portion control really is my biggest challenge so I may just have to start weighing and measuring. We'll see what happens next week.

Thanks for fixing the spreadsheet and making it look all pretty again, Laura!

Now, I have to finish getting all of our gear together for our camping/ rogaining race this weekend. Have a great weekend everyone!

Good morning and welcome to the challenge!  I created a line for you in the spreadsheet -- tossed some numbers in there just to make sure that the calculations were working.  Just go update the information and you'll be good to go!

I'm alive and getting well.  Went for my first bike ride yesterday.  I felt good, but could tell that I had surgery recently.  It isn't quite the right time to push myself too hard, but I'm getting close to being able to push it.

Soooo before I go out for another easy ride, I decided to update the spreadsheet with some colors (and formatting).  I purged all of the old info/names entries for anything earlier than 3/31/2012 to make space for the new challenge (and to tidy up the spreadsheet).  If you were one of them, I'm sorry.  Don't hurt me, I don't wear glasses but you wouldn't hit a man recovering from surgery would you?

New Spreadsheet Features (aside from happy spring colors)

1) There are a number of "Empty" Spaces where new people can enter in their data.

2) Individual calculations are automatically done for new participants.

3) I'll have to change a couple formulas for individuals to count towards our group averages but it only takes a second.

4) There is a conditional format on the date of last entry that will let you know if you are more than a week behind on your last weigh-in.

5) I changed some formats to hopefully make things easier to read....

Anywho, let me know what you think.

Cheers. -t

Go here to sign up.  We will just track weights in the spreadsheet but you still need to track your other stats and photos in your blog.

No problem.  Thanks!  I'm glad to be feeling better.  Although I am having to monitor myself not to overdo it.  I was on an elliptical trainer last week for 30 minutes and my right shoulder/collar bone was giving me fits the next day.  I think that I was compensating for having my midsection not up to par.  Ibuprofen seemed to do the trick (luckily) and any recurring aches seem to clear up with a little heating pad action.

I am going to go to Branson MO for IM Branson (and do the olympic distance), so I have my goal in mind for this year (and to motivate me to do an IM next year).  The local Tri group (Columbia Multisport Club) is pretty active and has a Tu/Th group that I am going to start running with when I get back to MO next week.  Now I just need to get back into shape (slowly) and keep at it.  You're the model of consistency, I'll try to keep up.

The whole Easter weekend thing was a nutritional disaster for me.  Only upside?  Two weeks after coming down with the flu/sinus infection, I'm FINALLY starting to be able to work out again vaguely like normal.

Back on the wagon!

Hey, can I join again for this round?  I participated last round and ended up losing 10 lbs... I just forgetting to come in here and check in!

I want to try for 15lbs this go-around and will try to be better about checking in!

I'm adding myself and goals to the spreadsheet!

Second that on the shrinking part.  I think losing 10-ish pounds will do me good for my race in September.  Speaking of which, I got my first post-op run under my belt.  Everything went well although I could definitely feel the layoff from running.  I'm looking forward to getting consistent miles on this body every week!
