Best of luck to you Jason...but you don't need luck when you have the engine that you have.
Motor up that thing!

I have faith you can beat your previous times but it will depend on wind/weather conditions on race day.  Good luck.  Predicition: 3:35:59

No more guesses. Will find out my official time at the after party, but I had an awesome race on a perfect day. Somewhere around 3:33:45. It was the best I had today and executed my pacing almost perfectly on a race where most people blow up. PR.

Right indeed.  Official time was 3:33:34.943

PM me your name and mailing address and I'll try to get the shirt out tomorrow.  I went with a men's medium which should fit similar to a large because their selection ran big.

RR here.

I can't say enough about how awesome this race is.  For those who are competing for the win or those who just want to finish, I never hear anything but great stories from the participants.  It's not a big WTC like production or anything...just an EPIC ride, well organized, and a fun after party.  If you like to ride, this has to be on your bucket list.  More info on the race, with results, here.

ETA: Oh, and of course...Strava or it didn't happen.

This month I upped my bike time a lot but at relatively low intensity and I started experiencing pain on the outside lower part of my knee. It did not affect anything other than cycling.

With a hectic schedule and the desire to throw in other forms of exercise, I went from following one of the training programs to doing my own. Would it be better to follow a training plan?

The optimal number of times you should weight train is dependant on the time of year, how close you are to your A race, and which training cycle you are in.

Should I have time goals for the first sprint? Should I just finish the race at a reasonable pace? I'm not sure how to approach this.

We triathletes are a lucky lot. We have the time and the resources to enjoy a sport that is time consuming and can be very expensive. I take this opportunity to reflect on my good fortune.
