Got my 1st 30 minutes in on Friday at the biggest pool I've ever been in. Very nice. Very nice indeed.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Great job Lynne! I bet that was a lovely experience in Canuckland.

Morning, Ladies!

Assuming there is no lightning in the area, I'm hitting the pool for a long swim this afternoon. (OK, I actually hit the pool Saturday with my eldest daughter...training for her first tri...I only swam 3 laps, but I logged them dadgumit.)

Swimmy swimmy!

Happy Monday, Ladies!

I did my first swim of the month this morning.  1,000 yards.  So I'm 1/10 of the way there.  Ugh.  This was a short swim, though, so I'll make up more ground at the end of the week.

I'm having a small mole removed from my eyelid this afternoon, so I'll have to take a break from the water for a few days.  Don't worry, I've rearranged my workouts this week so I will be swimming again on Friday.

There is sun somewhere?  We've had 4 straight days of rain, and I was beginning to wonder if the sun was still up there.  Good to know it is!

I think we've had 6 straight days of clouds/rain and it's likely to continue through to the weekend. However, Sunday's looking good for my race.

headin to the pool later on for a nice rcvry swim.

35 mins of kickin' boy bootay.

had a FABULOUS DAY in the CITY OF BRIDGES, yesturday.

our relay team finished in 4:09:39.

i finished my leg in 1:02:17.

i thought i was running a 10K but at some point they must have moved the relay points and my leg was actually 6.7 miles.

it was a GRAND DAY!

and E. the young girl that was killed the week of the marathon, finished her race.  her aunt, who was only entered to run the 1/2 on sunday, ran the full, with Es number and finished the race for her.

A FITTING TRIBUTE TO LIFE WELL LIVED.

no PB could match the beauty of THAT moment.

ENJOY THE DAY!

Okay. I revised my goal from 15k to 20k. I think that 15k may be too conservative of a projection.

Masters starts tomorrow and I'm a wee bit nervous about how it'll go over. I think I'm in over my head. Those guys are fast...and well...I'm not.

BARB can so relate to your feelings.

i just joined the Masters at my Y.  theyre super fly fast!!  intimidating.  but ive heard from multiple source that they are by far some of the nicest people.  hope your group is just as welcoming/friendly.

these steps can be hard but worth taking.  id so love to hear how it goes....maybe it would help me feel more confident when i go to swim w the Masters this month   good luck.

as for me, i logged in my first swim - it was shortie on Sunday (and i did swim it w the Masters) - just 20 mins, but its somethin'

i was heading to the pool during the day today, but had to delay it.  my youngest was home sick w a stuffy nose/cough.  poor thing.

headin to the pool for a nice rcvry swim as soon as my dh gets home from work.

HAPPY SWIMMING EVERYONE!

OK, somehow your name was on Yanti's list twice but I'm not sure where the 10 sessions came from. I'll get this fixed.

au contraire mon ami...
My swim mates surely understand the mindset of a truly dedicated challenge participant.  Gotta run again ladies...off to teach spin class. Oy, these men are certainly at least trying to derail our training but are really just spinnin' their wheels instead of flappin' their arms in the water.
