I am back running!!!!!!!!!! I am so incredibly happy (and lucky.) As most of you know, the estimated recovery was 6 weeks but I got there in 13 days. I still have a HUGE hole in my back that is not stitched up but, other than being a little sore here and there it doesn't bother me much.

I went from this to that.

I'm just so happy. Don't take your good health for granted. Ever. Get out and enjoy the gift you have!

Glad you're feeling better!  It's definitely a great thing to be running again after an injury.

I have the prologue on my tri bike and really like it.  I have the Cobb on my road bike and like it too.  In fact, I probably would like it on the tri bike if for some reason I had to make the switch.  Aren't I helpful

Well it is good to know that multiple options may exist. Although do be careful of thinking a saddle that works well for a road position will work well for tri. It may or may not depending on how close your position for each is. I was fine at first with a higher tri position, but after riding tri more I was able to go over and down a lot more and the saddle became a limiter to this as it just didn't fit so well with the pelvic rotation that came with that. Some can do well with both.

OK, I got the who said what mixed up.  But I'm sure there is a she out there somewhere who is riding an ostrich bareback that would let Jonathan ride it if he wanted to.

But only if he wants to ride in the rain while eating cookies, followed by pizza and beer.   Jonathan, are you taking note of all this?

Back to the original question before I turned into a girl riding an ostrich,

I think I ride a Plus right now. I've ridden all of them. Being a local to Cobb Cycling has it's advantages sometimes.

Hallllooooooooooooooooooo Manatees!!!  Holy crap, so much going on in here... where to begin?

Erin - looks like an awesome vacay with the kiddos... bears, kayaks and new (to you) cars, oh my!

Tom - Did I just read that you were top 10% at your race??  Freakin' AWESOME!!

JJ - yeahhhhhh... I really have no words for whatever is going on with the riding an emu bareback thing...

Salty - You just effing ROCK!  Seriously, woman - you are amazing!

As for me... my crazy world is a tad crazier as I just happened to be on CraigsList Friday night where almost the exact job that I'm doing now is posted for Austin and on a whim I applied for it... Lo and behold I got a response from the recruiter less than an hour later setting up a Skype interview for Saturday morning.  I have the Skype interview and it goes really well, so she puts me forward for the position and I have a phone interview with them tomorrow at 1:30pm.  YIKES!

This is gettin' REAL!

Finally in the room and sitting at something other than the steering wheel. A few things from today:

Monica- Knock em out, you'll do great in your interview.

Matt- I was thinking you'd end up in Austin first, but now I'm not so sure...

Randee - Thanks for reminding me that I needed to finish my saddle review. http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/gear/review.asp?reviewid=4385

Also, I took some pics of the saddles when I was testing, I think they are in here: https://plus.google.com/photos/113601404233718914952/albums/5925825633979063121

Melanie - In so far as intervals go, I don't have a trainer, so I'll do mine on some of my rides. They can be broken up by time or distance, depending on the ride. Depending on my group rides, there may be some sprints on those as well. Mine are not nearly as planned as Ben's, although some rides have sprints followed by recovery, then repeat. If you ever see 1X7's or some such thing in my log, that's what those are. My understanding is that the basis of intervals is to add intensity, which most of us do not do very often. I have tried to add more intensity on the bike in this past year and I feel it is helping, even with my limited T.I.T.S. There are some resources on Active and on USATriathlon although I have been unable to test the hill work in my Floridian flatlands.

Adrienne - It is good to see you up and around.

Tom - Great job on your race, if I didn't mention it before.

Texas Jonathan - I'm not sure what happened in here today, but if you can drink beer and eat pizza while riding an ostrich, then you are THE MAN! That is a triathlon of another type all together.

Uh oh.  You do know what happens when you do an IM, don't you?  Just ask Jonathan TX.  He'll tell you that people change your gender without permission and replace your expensive tri bike with a large flightless bird.  Are you really sure you wanna go there?

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
