He was at the top of his game with a lot more to offer, now a setback. Off to the pool to make some progress. Apparently more than expected, my wife had a co-worker that was hit and killed last Saturday night. Leaving behind a wife and 3 girls aged from 9-14. Very tragic, the good news is they found the person who did it yesterday or the day before. Looks like it could be some closure for the family but amazing at what people think they can ignore or get away with. |

Your kind of scaring me....  For Tony, is there really a difference? Just 20 minutes, just long enough to hopefully get the legs ready for running. |

Forget it if you were on the trails!! www.mapmyrun.com www.mapmyride.com No need to drive routes and works pretty good with trails if you have an idea how they run. {{{{{{{Thoughts are with you Kim and Cora.....this and Jordan Rapp's accident earlier this week can really put things in perspective}}}}}}}} Those sites didn't exist back in the olden days!! But yeah, they are good on the roads for sure. Never helped me on the trails, though. Even my Garmin is borderline worthless in my usual trails, as it loses its signal a lot. I do a lot of running in a 500-acre equestrian park that is 2nd-growth fir trees and has about 30 miles of trails. They have made a map, finally, that covers about 2 main trails but that's it. So in the park even though I use my Garmin, mostly I run by feel and I have 2-3 usual loops I do and guess on the distance for logging purposes. |

I just spoke with my cousin Gail and the news is the worst we could hope for. Cora has no brain activity post surgery. My cousin Rob has to make that awful decision to take his beautiful wife off of life support. They have two beautiful sons. I have been sobbing my eyes out. My family wants me to try to do the race for her, they are sure it is what she would have wanted. Gail says that Cora will still be with us in the morning and she is going to talk to her now and let her know I am racing in her honor. I am going to think about this for a little while but I will try my best to do my best. I just need to get there mentally. It's all so very sudden. will be leaning on all of you guys when things get heavy. kim |

CLOSED Big news from Northern Wisconsin.......the man aka Paul is at our house in MInocqua and one of the shallower lakes close to us is already starting to open up! While it was only 20F in Madison and 10F in Minocqua today, it means I could be OWS sooner this year!!! Last year my first dip was in 51F water off our pier and it was Memorial Day weekend! The water never hit 75F last year.....Doing the happy dance. Hey John---Jarret may have a dance partner on Saturday morning....negotiating! |
