I got this great swimwear wash called "Slosh" when I ordered earplugs from swim outlet.com. I got some in my eye this morning when taking out my contact lens. Don't ask. Rinsed with saline for about 15 minutes....and kept rinsing in the shower. Still burning...kinda fuzzy...but getting better. Hope the rest of the day is better.  |

Plus you guys said I can't buy my IMCA gear (not that I can afford it anymore anyway)  The only highlight of the day is learning Kyla is coming to dinner!!Cars can suck... but look at this way, you are three for three - you should be good to go now... |

Totally sucks. So sorry. Sorry you are sad about the IMCA gear. When your workouts suck, just picture that jacket. Me, when my workouts sucked, I pictured hearing "Kyla Carlson, you are an Ironman!!!" And you know what? I didn't even hear it, ha ha!!! Maybe that's why I gotta do another one!!! |

No racing for me this weekend. Next race is an olympic on August 1st. Since I have only raced sprint and oly, I will pick oly as my favorite distance. Long enough to make you work but short enough that you can push hard the whole way. Good luck racers! OK, I know this post is like so yesterday, but: I'm racing this weekend!! Evergreen Lake Olympic - it's been on my calendar for a long time and was supposed to be an A race, but I'm not feeling in tip-top shape so my goal is just to run it the best I can and enjoy the day. As for race distance, x2 on what George said. Good luck to all the racers, and happy training to everyone else! |

Back from the family vacation to the "Wisconsin Dells" and had a decent day back in the office, (the guys went easy on me!) I know I missed a bunch of posts and tried to catch up somewhat tonight.... "Good luck to all the racers this weekend." Big Race down the street from Milwaukee this weekend with the Ironman Racine 70.3 going on Sunday. Lots of folks I know racing so I will probably spend the day cheering everybody on....especially Suzy! Hope the peeps are ready for some cold water as Lake Michigan was 49 degrees this morning on the beach by the race route. Glad to be back...ready to train..... |

Delivered in perfect lawyer speak .....honestly, I am soooooo used to height jokes that they don't bother me at all....especially when they come from a guy who isn't 5'10"!On a seperate note, I had a great aquathon tonight...best executed OWS I have had so far and the run wasn't too bad either....good juju heading into Sunday....oh and in case anyone wanted an update, Lake Michigan is now 45F...dropped 30F in less than 24 hours due to the latest storms and wind shifts. Mark, As far as the cleats go, it's really tough to tell, helps to get a fitter to check it out. Only other option would be to move it around and ride to see if it gets better. If you are having problems with one leg vs. the other, fit could be the cause. |
