swbkrun Mentor Group- CLOSED FOR BUSINESS!!! (Page 242)

Champion  7163     Verona WI--Ironman Bike Country! |  Subject: RE: swbkrun Mentor Group- CLOSED FOR BUSINESS!!!TrevorC - 2010-08-01 3:27 PM and he's home!!! Wow what a race. Thunderstorms during the night, worse than poor sleep, raining all morning, soaked transition area, raining hard for half the bike...and the bike was 94k. The said that was the only way they could make it work. But its over. Hardest race I've ever done. Bar none. way harder than the humidity in TX. Hilly,hilly bike course in the rain. Had a good swim. Had a great bike considering conditions. I got onto the run and felt off. Not sure why. Side stitch alot of it. Then that whole throw up in the mouth thing when I tried some calories. Oh yes good times. Run turned into a walk/run bigtime. feel kind of frustrated about the run, but thats me. This marathon training hopefully helps me learn to run. Such a mental thing for me. Family is out of town, so its time for a little snooze i think. AWESOME JOB TREVOR!!!! It'll make that next one seem like a piece of cake. You're on a roll. |

I spent at least 30 minutes talking to him before the race and he never mentioned you were racing!!!  However there was this one lady I kept watching during the race wondering why her face looked familiar but I couldn't place it. I'll bet that was you! But to excuse us both, the only other time we've seen each other was on a bike ride so we look very different then.Can't wait to read the rest of the RRs. Congratulations to a fabulous team. |

After the drive home last night, I had to help a family member fix their computer/printer and was in bed at 9, totally exhausted, got paged for work around 1:30 and vaguely remember much after that, the coffee drip is flowing this morning, and I am slowly waking up. |

Organization was spot on, outside of 2 transitions and logistics for spectators/transportation, it was a sweet course (run was only soso, but bike was fun) 11th overall, 2nd AG award (really was 3rd but 1st overall got taken out of AG results) Hope to have some pictures tonight or tomorrow. Oh, I always lurk... the shoulder is still messed up, unfortunately. I tried swimming a few days ago, and I can't get any pull on that side; right after the catch it goes from uncomfortable to downright painful. I also tweaked my left knee a little, so I haven't been able to run that much. I think it was because my right foot got unclipped, but my left was still attached, so when the bike did a cartwheel, my leg was sort of forced to do this weird motion. Anyway, Lake Stevens is out, but I think I'll try for a late season half at Black Diamond. Congrats to all you speedy racers out there! Love reading the RRs! |
