Champion 10550 Austin, Texas | Subject: RE: Manatee Mentors 2014--CLOSED (begging & bribes MAY work) Originally posted by amd723 I'm on a phone conference discussing new proposed legislation and I'm bored. Pretty sure I've missed some important discussions playing here, so if you hear of any crazy new laws coming from Florida, the blame may rest here So if it's no longer legal to make left hand turns on the third Thursday of the month between the hours of 8am-12pm and 3pm-6pm... you're to blame? |

I have been debating for the last hour whether to tell him or leave it until he gets home next week. What would you do? Sorry to hear the sad news Stacey, I would tell him if I were you. A long time ago my childhood dog died whilst I was in Navy initial training, I found out a week later when my girlfriend came to visit but looking back I wish someone had rung me so I could absorb the news before seeing my GF. We're all different but for me I needed a bit of alone time. |

Veteran 2441 Western Australia | Subject: RE: Manatee Mentors 2014--CLOSED (begging & bribes MAY work) Originally posted by blueyedbikergirl Good luck with that Monica. Okay, a little rant... I have NEVER heard of this shipping method before - EVER - but for the 2 kitty carriers that I ordered off of Amazon, I got a UPS tracking number (yay) which showed that the items made it to Chicago at 6:16am on Monday (more yay). However, when I checked back later on Monday, the status had been updated to say "As requested by the sender, UPS has transferred this shipment to the local post office for delivery to the final destination". Um... What the what?? So, as the customer, I get to see that the items I purchased (and paid shipping for) have arrived in Chicago, but rather than actually delivering the items to my house they're now going to go to what might be the most incompetent government agency to (hopefully) be delivered within the next 48 hours. Maybe. If I'm lucky. And I can't even track the items now that they've been given to the USPS for delivery??? How does that make ANY sense whatsoever?? GAH! /rant... for now. When we were in the States in December 2007 we sent a parcel home to ourselves in Western Australia. It wasn't much just mainly some light weight stuff that we didn't want to cart around with us for the next 5 weeks. 6 years later we still don't have it. I would contact Amazon and complain. |

Master 3870 | Subject: RE: Manatee Mentors 2014--CLOSED (begging & bribes MAY work) Shipping???? I'm waiting impatiently for a dryer heating element to be delivered. J doesn't have a tracking number or method of shipment. Element went out the night before Kansas trip...with four loads to do. So I washed everything and sat at Laundromat for an hour before packing suitcases. That was a month ago. Ffwd to today...my dryer is in pieces (many, many pieces) in the living room. No local places have the part, so J ordered it last Wednesday. He asks every day if it's arrived. NOOOOOOO! I thought he'd ordered from Amazon, nope. Seems it was direct supplier with no tracking info. I sweetly mentioned it in my latest text and he's checking on it |

Veteran 659 East Texas | Subject: RE: Manatee Mentors 2014--CLOSED (begging & bribes MAY work) I'm in on the Jogo challenge although I typically rest on Monday's so well see how that goes. Might go for a walk with the family if nice out. I"ve decided to really ramp up my swim volume for my Ironman Training since it was so minimal for my last 70.3. So far I'm handling the added swims nicely. I would like to get to 5 days per week by February. Maybe one day I can call myself a swimmer. On the shipping issues.....Man I got so frustrated over the holidays at all the delays. I hate when a major carrier turns over the package to USPS for final delivery. Always seems to take an extra 2 days when I could just drive to the post office and pick it up! |

Master 6595 Rio Rancho, NM | Subject: RE: Manatee Mentors 2014--CLOSED (begging & bribes MAY work) I read about a swim session book here on BT over a week ago so I went on Amazon and ordered it, with expidited shipping. A week goes by still no book so I look on Amazon, no tracking and the seller has terrible reviews. Some never got the item, some got it very late, and he always told them that he looked at the tracker and the shipping was stopped so it must be lost. So I send a message and guess what he says to me? Same same. So I told him I want my money back. After I get my refund I'll post a review on Amazon. |

Yes, down !!!! A whopping 2lbs....woooohooooo. The hardest part of triathlon (IMO) I agree that it is the hardest part - congrats!!! I think looking good naked is the hardest part of triathlon, and the most important! WHAT? Not even one titter or silly comeback? Oh, manatees, you seem to have fallen down on the job this morning. Well, David, I must agree. I can't imagine that it's easy to look good naked during a tri...especially during the run. |
