OK MG here is the deal. If you have not already received a custom-made pen from me, send me your address. Do not worry about how much time it will take. I have made enough pens that once I get in a groove it only takes 15 minutes/pen. The laser engraving takes more time as I have to have a firend with a laser engraver do that and he has to fit it in around his big orders.

Old MG members I might could be persuaded to make one too if you have lost yours, your spouse took it or wants one too, etc. In for a penny in for a pound.

This would be a lot easier if we could have an MG conference call.

BTW: I don't think I mentioned it but I am now on the Board of the local Inside-Out Sports Delta Triathlon club (IOSDT). A local racer Todd started it and this year formed a Board. He has me run the meetings, (ugh).

I want to thank this MG for all the support and assistance over the past couple years.  It is amazing to think I went from being about 35 lbs heavier than I am now and being nervous about doing a sprint tri to having completed my first IM on Sat.  And the kind, supportive (and sometimes necessarily direct) advice, encouragement and wisdom from this group was a major factor in getting me there.  So, THANK YOU.   It was inspiring to know that everyone was following me on Saturday and encouraging me along.

RR ready:

(Have no idea about how to change it into a link.)

John (Fatty) was still catching at the finish when I got there, and he caught me.  John grabbed Linda (Havin’fun) who was also volunteering at the time, and I got to meet her and chat with her for the first time.  Really nice.  Such a treat to see John at the finish and meet Linda there as well.

Didn't want this to get lost in the shuffle with all the IMFL 2012 talk.  Awsome job William!

Wow, lots going on.  Congrats to all our racers with huge shout outs to our newest Ironmen!

Things have been crazy here. My husband was in the hospital with heart/BP issues, then we had that storm which knocked out our power for a few days.  It destroyed our trees, school was canceled for days, and got slammed at work.  Finally seeing the light.

I've adopted Kyla's run every day in a month challenge for Nov.  Just throwing on my sneaks, no watch. So freeing and enjoyable.

Sorry to hear about your hubby.  I hope he is doing better.  That storm was crazy.  The NE area really got slammed and so early in the snow season.

Just to make sure everyone caught it, I fixed John's post.  (And, having met her on Sat night, I agree, and that is not just the post-IM "everything is hazy" thing.)

Also, for places to stay, I stayed at Whispering Seas.  It is literally ON the run course, about .7 miles from the chute, and only a hundred yards or so after the half marathon point.  (For those who were there, it was just before the "Girl Zone" aid station area.)  They were great, flexible in terms of arrival and departure times and priced right.  (Checkout time is 10am on Sunday, and I had the room until Monday.  When I called and told them at 1pm on Sunday that I was leaving, they credited back the cost of the last night.)  website is whisperingseas.com or panamabeachtime.com.

And, again, it was so great to see John and Linda in Panama City.  My FIL signed up for next year again, so I may come and watch...

The following people either sent me their address or expressed an interest in a pen:

jfought

gdale

velcromom

roniS

tdl1972

tricrazy

kkcbelle

Terps421.

I turned two tonight. If you want one and do not see your name on this list PM me your address. I sent two people on the list a PM as I do not have your addresses.

Finally someone asked how much and what is shipping. It is the same as last time: $0.00

Hi everyone!  I had to pop in before I began my RR to say thanks for the encouragement during IMFL.  It was an amazing weekend from hanging out with Barry the entire time to seeing John at the finish and everything in between.  I can see that this group always seems to attract the same type of people - awesome ones!!!!!  Thanks for everything!

Hellz yes!

Speaking of beer....

Thanks for sharing.  I'll have a talk with my wife so she understands why I'm pounding a beer after each and every workout.   This may even motivate me to get out for some early morning running.

The SSMinnow is out of pocket today, so here is the Weekly Wednesday question:

BooYah!  The weekend is almost here!  Who's racing?

If you're not racing, what do you consider your key swim / bike / run workouts during training?

I'm running the Rim Rock Marathon through Colorado National Monument on Saturday. Still tired from last weekend, but unbelievably excited to run Rim Rock after doing some hiking yesterday and seeing the incredible scenery that awaits. Here's a pic from yesterdays hike:
