Stacey sent Phil to Indianapolis so that he can get a taste of winter on her behalf. ;-) blahblahblah bundled up blahblah. High today in the 20s. Not exactly our average high temperature of 51. Heck, our high temperature today is lower than our normal low temperature for January (30).
It is Disney marathon weekend. Started today with the 5k in feels like the 20s weather, the 10 k Friday will be in the 40s, HM Saturday upper 40's to start/60's at the end and the marathon Sunday 50s into the 70s. I know the marathon people wish the pattern was reversed! I also know a number of people doing all 4 races (the Dopey challenge). I think they are all nuts!! I know it is. I still remember the snow/sleet event of 2010. It was all and I was expecting -- not ice on the roads at the water stations! ha, I ran that weekend too! I did the HM though and we were sleeted on. Crazy stuff for Florida! |

Having trouble getting my stuffed up brain to focus on the bank records I'm looking at so..... let's talk about training... I'm thinking I'll do the dm today. Well I feel*mostly* pretty good. Once in a while I'll start coughing but not too bad. I suppose I'd know pretty quickly in to a run whether the lungs will tolerate it or not. I brought 3 sets of clothes 1) inside 2) outside warm 3) outside cold |

Thanks. Matt lol same. And then my follow up questions would be: A. Can this be done on a beach cruiser or whilst casually riding to happy hour or will that drag the team down?
Trainerroad is a program that takes feedback from ANT+ Sensors (speed, cadence, power, etc) and gives a head up to display showing feedback as you progress through a workout. There are all kinds of workouts that are based on your FTP, so your targets for each interval of a given workout change as your FTP does. The whole interface is very well done, but the added draw is for those without powermeters you can get a virtual power number based on a curve programmed by the TR staff. Most trainers are supported. This gives people who have never ridden with power an awesome introduction on what riding with power is like. This was a huge plus for me. Thanks for the explanation. I don't believe I qualify That data you posted is really interesting, though. And that is coming from a non-data person. You can actually put a beach cruiser on a trainer. |

We're doing great, folks. We're over a quarter of the way through the month and there's lots of good stuff in your logs. Just keep swimming, Manatees, just keep swimming (and biking and running and stretching and lifting and mowing and vacuuming and all the other stuff you do)!! I would be in for being a part of this, but I believe that taking a day off is important. So, I'll never hit 100%, but I'll consistently do 6/7. |
