Slow but steady until the last 3 miles. I am sitting here at work with ice on my left calf and left knee. That darn left side again. I would love to do Lonestar but that is alot of money for both my hubby and I to travel and race. We are going to Disney in January for my marathon and don't know if Texas is on the radar. I realize we have to decide soon. I really want to see all of you though....... let me think on it. Anyone want to buy my entrance fee for me as a birthday present? Today is your chance to do it?!?! Ummm Hey....Its my birthday too if it means a free trip! Edited by TrevorC 2009-10-02 2:05 PM |

Barry/Chris....any suggestions on where or where not to stay? Don't stay at the Ramada!! Stay at the host hotel (Marriott). Reserve your rooms early! Everything is right there. Welcome babyfatty!!! Happy Birthday Tracy! Happy Anniversay Tony and Sam! Good luck to those racing this weekend! I am going to take my wife to dinner for "the talk" tonight - the "are you fully prepared to deal with me doing an Ironman" talk. Although I already got the okay, I want to make sure she really is fully on board with it since she is not really into tri's. Mentally I have already committed to it. I will have an answer tomorrow. Happy Anniversary to Sam and Tony! Wow, busy weekend here at SWBKRUN I'm a little excited today because I was able to swim 300 yds non-stop breathing bilaterally! And this was at the end of a 1900 yd workout. This is a huge first for me and I did it in EZ mode at a 2:20 pace which is actually pretty good for me My swim hard pace is about 2:05/100yd. I love these little breakthroughs Have a great weekend everyone! |

Work wasn't happy that I took 2 1/2 hours for a lunch break. I am excited about the race. Just need to figure out the parking situation Sunday morning. Is parking in Pentagon City mall free on the Sunday? If not maybe I'll park on the streets of Crystal City or take the metro in from Springfield.. -Nick |

Give her a call and convince her that we (or I) should come down in April!! Would love to...But man I see all of you cats signing up for the 1/2. I guess like Suzy said, I'd get a large cheering section for the Oly. I don't know how to train for a 1/2 yet. Nevermind through the winter months up here, then jumping down there in April and the humidity. And Fatty, good thing she looks like her Mom!!! Enjoy the ride again my friend!! I'll check in tomorrow after my 1/2 mary. |

Champion 9060 Charlottesville, Virginia | Subject: RE: SWBKRUN Mentor Group-Closed! KEEP ASKING QUESTIONS!!! So Sam and I were comparing our training logs for the year, she has me on the bike but I have more Run and Swim : ) I need appx 200 more miles running to reach 1000 for the year. That equates to about 16 miles a week for the rest of the year. Would that be bad to shoot for? I had planned on only swimming in November but if I can hit 1k, that would be cool I think.. |

I have 3 friends who did this race this year, they all said it was crazy hilly! Yeah, I've heard that from a few people, but I also heard a bunch of people talk about the hills on the Augusta course and I never really saw "hills". - not that I am comparing the two courses by any means. I have plenty of hills to train on around here and plan on using them to my advantage. I'll be ready. No doubt in my mind. |
