Subject: RE: Tan #86 - I told you so...phoenixazul - 2009-11-17 10:14 PM Dangit...h1n1 clinic is this Saturday. Which is great, considering I tick more than one box on the "high risk" list. Problem? Scheduled to work. I wish I could say "yes, I'll be 3 hrs late but I won't be dead this season" but there's no way to be sure that a) I'll actually get a shot based on the supply, b) that I'd be done in a reasonable amount of time. Arg. Missing a 6 hr shift is a lot of money for me, but being sick costs a hell of a lot more. BUM. Getting the shot was a huge hassle. I got the seasonal flu shot pretty easily. H1N1 was a challenge because I can't take the nasal spray. I called student health every day until they got them in. Then I got to walk-in immunization a half an hour early. I got one last week. Just one more week of not catching the plague from my co-workers before I should have immunity. It's a tough call. If you get the shot, you'll feel better and probably protect against getting sick. If you don't, you might be ok anyway. |
