compared to when I was powerlifting (215lbs) I constantly have people ask me if I have an eating disorder. (164lbs) I do miss having a massive chest though

csibona - 2009-07-06 11:47 AM Recently I was told I look like a runner. But my wife occasionally says I look a little "girlish," that is, too skinny. My current BMI is 22.6.
she said, "girlish?" Is she an endurance athlete? If my non-existent husband said I looked, "boyish," he'd get an appointment with an eye doctor. But, that's just me...

Fixed.

I usually only get comments when I am not training.  Like, "Are you not training?  You look good, you're filling out a little."

`You have a great body!' is always nice to hear but I don't put much stock in it when it's coming from someone who just ate a Big Mac, extra large fries and a Diet Coke.

hey now, i had a hamburger and fries yesterday.........

Ha I do enjoy McDonalds occasionally. Of course I meant `When people who don't train and just ate a Big Mac, extra large fries and a Diet Coke for the sixth time this week.'

My wife says I'm "too skinny", otherwise people seem to have compliments all over the board.  Strangest comment I got the other day was "What steroids are you taking?"

When I was walking through the gym coming out of the pool last week:

"Dude, how much are you lifting?"
"I haven't touched a weight in 12 years"
"Dude. Like...really?"

When I got down to 155 last summer my fiance didn't like it.  I think it's got to do with my large head.. and being skinny.  (think of levi leipheimer)  I can get back down to 155 again, but it'll be a different body comp, hopefully about 3% leaner.  BTW, 22.6 for me would be below 150.

BTW, according to BMI, I'm almost overweight, yet I need a belt when I wear my 32 jeans.

Believe it or not, my success in losing weight over the last year (42 pounds) has been a source of contention for me.  I'm 5'10" and have gone from 217 to 175 in one year.  I'm pretty much the only one in our group of friends that has adopted a healthier lifestyle.  Now, I'm the one being made fun of because I don't eat crap all the time, like they do.  When I actually eat a dessert after a meal, watch out cuz here come the remarks.  Unfortunately, these hecklers also include my wife.  It's irritating.

I was in So Cal a few months ago and took a little drive to Foothills Ranch to visit the Oakley HQ. The checkout girl said "You've got great legs I can tell you're a runner." I just mumbled something about triathlons, blah blah blah. Funny thing is that I was there with my mom who later said "I think that girl liked you." I thought I was 16 again for a minute or two...

My friend Lynne told me I had "Lance Armstrong legs" the other day.  Usually I get lots of comments on my leg muscles, as they are big and very defined.  I am so not built like a triathlete, but often hear the words "strong" , "powerful" and "wouldn't want to pizz you off" ...

Just poke 'em in the belly and make the Pillsberry (? spelling) doughboy giggle when you do. Do that everytime they eat an unhealthy, fattening meal.

You know, that can be rough.  I have gone from 250 to 205 with more to go.  I had a friend tell me "I don't like healthy jason".  Because I wouldn't go out for more drinks and eat like crap with him.  He was trying to be funny, but it rubbed me the wrong way.  My health has become more important than our friendship, I hope it doesn't come to that.

Most people hate how I can eat so much and stay lean. I have lunch meetings often with co-workers along with some folks that don't know me too well. I eat a ton and am still about 175 and <10% body fat. People look at my like I'm insane when I eat and eat. Then my co-workers say "yeah, he just works out a lot".

I'm a newbie and still the "OFG" (Old Fat Guy) on the group rides.  Just turned 50yo, 5'10" 242# (down from 252#) I have 1 Sprint (pool swim) completed and I'm looking to do 1 more Sprint (Sandman Tri) this season.  Eventually I hope to be the OFG -- Old Fast Guy !!
