I didn't realize that this Sunday's ride with the triathlon club was going to be counted as "post" miles, not "pre".

Thus, I think my goal should be advanced to 250miles, accepting that I've already logged about 30.  Don' wanna' be counted as a slacker.

Yep, it's the three-week (21-day) period between 4/10 and 4/30, inclusive. We figured 50 miles per week was a good benchmark, glad to see many have set their personal bar higher.

I'll change your goal, hairy puppet person.

I've got 86 mi in April to date, and I'll shoot for 250 by the end.

For those that don't reach their training goals, I suggest they make the Jessie Stensland photo their avatar for May.

Sorry, but Kim already has rights to that avatar. Maybe they can wear a silly crab hat in their avatar?

Actually, I have, um, three centuries scheduled this month that I plan on counting.

Are you kidding? In addition to the 500 miles you stated as you goal?! Just so I know what I'm up against.... but you know I'll rise to the occasion!

Maybe Bear can list Slackers of the Month along with Studs of the Month in his signature when he loses....

The centuries are in that 500, and at least a couple of them will be metric. I have no doubt you will be up to the challenge. As a matter of fact, i see this as coming down to whoever rides the furthest on April 30. Just to let you know, that's the date of one of those centuries (I'm also riding one May 1, if you remember).

Actually, the slackers are the one's that don't sign on for the challenge!

LOL! I think you're right.... I'm seeing both of us waking up early in the morning on April 30 and sittin' in the saddle all day long.... We're both a couple of stubborn bastards!

And true, the slackers ARE the ones not signing up! But I'm happy to see how many folks are signing up!!!

Well fine then.

Mileage was 155.6 as of Saturday ( before my Sunday ride ).

Let's shoot for 300 miles this month ( got first race in there, so that blows a weekend ). In reality, I'll do what my coach says, but chances are good that it'll end up over 300 by end of the month.

OK.  I'll bite too.

I've ridden 44.5mi so far (and through 4/9).  Let's try for 225 by months end.  So that's another 180.5 by then.  I have a busy bike week planned for next week, so I'm hoping for some decent weather!

AAARRRGGG! OK John, you called me out. Mark me down for 39.4 outside miles as of 4/9. I'm going to be on vacation at the end of the month and I'll miss the last 2 weekends, but I'll figure something out... Put me down for another 150 miles

Nice wager. I want in. I'm at 275 miles as of 4/9 put me down for a total of 450 for the month or another 175. Good luck to both of you.

Ok, Mike... now let's think about this.... you rode 275 miles in 9 days, so now you're "challenging" yourself to ride 175 in 21 days. C'mon Mike.... you're definitely "riding lots", but "challenge" is the operative word!!!! Step it up!

Y'know, I thought the exact same thing but being the discrete individual Iam kept my mouth shut. But you'd figure he could at least ride the same distance over the next twenty days as he did in the first ten. A 36% dropoff in twice the time period is a challenge? I'm putting him down for 300.

Bah! If he can do 200 in one day he can average 100 per week.
