Abbie, can we also offer up some mini challenges?
Yep, anyone can throw out a challenge!!! This is a GROUP effort!!! I would suggest throwing them out early in the day since we are all on different time zones. |

So started off with a homemade clean zucchini coconut muffin with some natural peanut butter and a greek yogurt and then while driving my kid is complaining that she is full and doesn't want the rest of her breakfast and she's trying to open her juice so being the multi-tasking supermom that I am!! While driving I open the juice and wolf down the rest of her egg sandwich. Whoops! How many calories was that??? I heard that you are supposed to only drink when you are thirsty. I usually start the morning with a couple of glasses. I need to drink 9 glasses today and am down 2 - 7 more to go! Thing is... at work the washroom is soooo far away and I have to pass practically everyone in the company to get there! |

If you have a smartphone, download Strava and see what kind of distance you log between your desk and the bathroom! (Note, that I Strava'd my walk through a corn maze this weekend, lol) |

Story Started running several years back to lose weight. I've completed 5 stand alone marathons and completed 1 ironman. I started running as a way of losing weight but always seem to get into a routine of thinking that i have done the work so i can eat what i like. My weight has been the same for the last couple of years and in july when i was entering the last 30 mile of the bike in ironman uk i new my weight was holding me back. I will be doing any challenges the day after due to the time difference. For example it's 18;45 in the uk so would not be possible to drink the amount of water over the next couple of hours Edited by silverback25 2012-10-23 1:10 PM |

Master 1457 MidWest | Subject: RE: DOWN for the Holidays! Pictures, as promised Mid-2012 Early 2009 After losing 20 pounds through a Biggest Loser program. In mid-October 2009 I weighed in at 175! My grandson was to be born in about a month and I realized that I would not be able to keep up with him like I wanted to. Started half-heartedly on a weight loss program. Fast forward to October 2011 and I had surgery on my knee, followed doctor's orders and have been running since early December with no more problems! Lost quite a bit of my weight early this year due to some family stress but now I'm needing to work on my core and maintaining (if not losing another 5-10) my weight. |

I don't usually count as I go through the day, but now that I did count, it seems that I probably drink that much every day. Good to know! (I gave up diet Pepsi sometime this summer - still drink a cup of coffee in the morning, but the rest of the day = water.) |

Master 2005 Silverton, Oregon | Subject: RE: DOWN for the Holidays! I'm in! I think this sort of focus with flexibility is exactly what I need right now. Thanks for doing this, Abbie! 40 ounces so far today, and realizing how much I've been slacking on hydration lately.
Name: Roni Basics: Married with 22 and 24 year old daughters and a 19 month old grandson. Our 22 year old and Grandson have recently moved back in with us. I started doing triathlons and running in 2007 after losing about 55lbs, and have gained back all but 10 of those pounds, slowly, over the last 3 years. I am determined to get back to my goal weight before Portland REV3 next July. Activity: I have been on the ultra running/triathlete to couch potato plan lately, so I am going to start back slow. s/b/r with lots of walking and hiking mixed in for the cardio. Strength training will include power yoga and strength focused classes at the gym. Nutrition: I will focus on whole foods and portion control. I am quite capable of overeating on the healthiest of eating plans, so I know from past experience this is something I really have to keep in check. This is the weight I'm getting back to:
This is where I currently am:

I am about 5 pounds within this weight. Hoping to shed 10 or a few more before my next event in the spring. Overall though, I'd like to maximize my nutrition and have steady healthy habits.
