Oh, and thank you Monica for the mini panic attack by reminding me that it is only 6 1/2 weeks until B2B full, which also made me realize that it is only 2 1/2 weeks until my next HIM.

Picked a great time to start getting the sore throat and ickyness.

Hi TAN - there needs to be much, much more coffee in the world today.

Actually, I wish I could just sit at my desk and someone would come around and re-fill my cup for me so that I didn't have to actually get up, walk all the way to the break room (which is around the corner) and make my own.  The coffee deliciousness is SOOOOO far away!!

I agree.  I'm drinking my homebrewed Starbucks at the moment.  They really do a pretty good job.  BUT I need a refill.

My night was full of nightmares.  Work stress and too much confrontation in my life leads to confrontational dreams, which wake me with anxiety.

BTW, tell the little guy congrats on the WSJ gig.  Hope he kills it.

We have a Keurig at work with a bunch of different kinds of coffee... I TRY to limit myself to 1 cup a day, but sometimes that's just not going to suffice.  NEED MORE CAFFEINE!

I don't usually dream at all, but when I'm stressed it shows up in other ways... not sleeping, breaking out, appetite all over the place.  It's not fun and I need to learn how to deal with it better.

Thanks! I'm SO happy that Tony's made the move to WSJ!!  I really hope it's a good work fit for him and that he's happy there.

Hi, TAN!

As I am starting to recollect a few things from Sun., I remembered seeing and talking (briefly) with a former TANner who came out to the race and was cheering and shaking her cowbell with vigor along the UW Madison campus bike path by Lake Mendota during the run portion.  Yes, it was none other than

TheSchwamm!!!!!

Miss Schwamma-lama-ding-dong herself!!  It was great to see her smiley red-headed face!

food processor?  too much labor and cleaning!  just use a potato masher!  then you get nice big chunks of avocado!

46???  Hell yes, that's too cold.  I suggest you call in "cold" to work then stay inside sitting on the couch under a blanket and drink hot chocolate.  But I'm also a wuss, so YMMV.

46 is GOOD running weather; it just seems a little too early in the year for it.

ETA: Yikes... that weather will be here Friday.  Cold & rainy - Boo.

Now I'm embarrassed.  Maybe I post too much.

It's usually after 3pm when no one else is here contributing.

My Day

Far too often these days.

I had a thought to call it a day at lunch, but realized when I do that, I usually waste the time.  I don't do chores or catch up on sleep or anything productive.  Just sit there watching crap on TV or something.  Might as well gut it out at the office and get paid.

I have been meaning to start a list of all the items I need to pack for my 140.6 race in 10 days, but for some reason, I keep putting that off!

Training our bodies to work efficiently in Zone 2 will help us keep our HR and pace even throughout an Ironman. This theory would hold true for the bike and run portion of an Ironman race.
