The roads on the first 15 miles are bad, so I can’t ride too fast in the beginning anyway. The wind is supposed to lighten up in the afternoon when I will be riding into it. I feel pretty positive. Plus it won’t be 50 with hail. I think it sets me up to take it easy to start which I struggle with and hopefully have something left in the tank for a strong 2nd half of the ride. |

The first loop of the run was by far the hardest part of the day due to the heat and total lack of shade before sunset. Hope he has good conditions for the run! |

Now I'm hearing from teammates -- "with 5 hours of rain and bad roads that had you cleaning your pants out at the bottom of each pot holes descent. We watched crashes and tires popping like a popcorn machine " Sounds brutal! |
