How timely of you to post these, especially the last one with the gnome and unicorn and rainbow.  A guy in our tri club was 'scarred' by having to bike behind a male in these (the male bikini version of what you posted) for a long distance in his last tri (Savageman, I think).  Someone snuck a photo of him and emailed it to the group but I must've deleted it.

Hi,
Laughing at those bathing suits - are they really for men?

I have a trail race this weekend - my crazy sister who is one of the best Masters runners in her state is coming up to do it, and dragging me along. It is a 5K and supposedly rugged and tough. She will do about 21 minutes, I will do about 45!! I was adopted, and we obviously don't share the same genes!!!

Hope you all have a great day! It is amazingly beautiful here in NY!

Sorry to hear about the sick kiddo, that's no fun for either of you.

Get your butt moving - you KNOW you'll feel better, so get to it!!

Damnit people, I have work to do.  And now you're "forcing" me to look at the men's bikinis.  What would you people do without me?

Oh... you mean these (they have a non sparkly version, but really, why would you not go all the way at this point)

Any man who would rock this one, I would buy at least a beer for post-race:

In white?  Bwahahaha!

And there's a song to go with this one:

See, I think there in lies the magic.  I kinda want to race in something like that, just cause I think the fun would distract from the pain a bit. Plus you get to make other people smile, so even if your race sucks that day, it's still a net gain

BTW, they have a design your own option...my mind is reeling with the possibilities.

Well...I got an email and call from my mom this morning...No chemo just yet. It turns out that she did NOT have ovarian cancer after all. Instead, what she actually had(and maybe still has) is a Neuro-endocrine tumor. These types usually show up in the lungs, and then can recur in the brain; in this case, hers just settled in the ovary. In the meantime, the docs are having her get a full body scan to make sure that there is no hidden cancer elsewhere on her body (and WHY did they not do this when she was in the hospital in the first place??????) . On the upside, this type of cancer generally responds quite well to chemo, so its not as bad as it could be. Its still very scary, and I (and my mom and dad) are very tired of the unending stream of questions and craziness. Truly, I am in that 'numb' state again with my mind going round and round with no conclusion being found.

Someone asked about the Cheshire suit--I am working on it today--it has to be done by a week from Friday, so as soon as it is I will get a pic taken and post--I promise. Today's tasks involve making the body suit part, with finishing off the feets and hands next--then all that will be left is the tail.

Nope, I even asked him to make sure.  Somehow there's more than one person out there sporting this gem!

I'm really glad to hear that it's a type of cancer that responds well - but still very scary.  Sorry that you and your family are still dealing with all of this Kate.

I'll be keeping all of you in my thoughts and wishing everyone a speedy recovery.

FYI - I found out that there's a group of friends going to a Halloween part as the Alice in Wonderland crew so I'm particularly excited to see your Cheshire suit.  Cool

I echo what "Betty" said - glad it's a type that responds well to treatment but still totally scary.
