The idea: Travel to an easyish to reach place Meet some BTers Wear your silliest suit/kit, maybe some glitter--see the thread in the triforum for specific glitter details. Have a fun, but not necessarily fast race (they don't have to be mutually exclusive) *coughBencough* Hang out after the race (might be some drinking involved, maybe, possibly) Just a little PSA :) I like how you think! This could be fun and dangerous. Should we warn the city/state we meet in about our meet up? ;) Quite possibly. I encourage all who are interested to contribute to the thread in the main forum. This is going to be the shiznit. Oh, and Salty thought of a great name: The Glitter Tri We may have to ban competing on tri bikes. Just spit ballin here... The TF luncheon Sat. and overall presence at the race is so moving: survivor wave; survivors wishing us luck as we head out on the swim; the dedication circle; knowing that this race is more than just another race; seeing the survivors out on the course showing cancer who is boss. Really good stuff. Doooo Eeeeeeet! We're twins separated at birth, remember? |
