Way to go Arend - as the others said, unreal swim split, and overall awesome finish.  Fantastic time!

IRONMEN IN THE HOUSE!!!

Great Job, Jen - what a great race - looks like you executed front-to-back. What a great accomplishment for you as well as Arend and Fred. This group rocks!

Cannot wait to read all about from the three of you. You have all made a day that was honestly kinda sucky for me much, much, MUCH less so. Thanks for the motivation.

Congratulations Fred and Jen!  Fred went by me on the bike around the 100k mark looking great!

I had a rough night last night.  Once I had settled down a bit my stomach shut down and I couldn't keep anything in my stomach.  Things are better this morning though, at least the coffee is staying down and I'm going to try some toast.  That will be the first solid thing I eat since about the 15k mark of the run.

Fred, Arend and Jen, great job.

I was looking for your bib numbers on the course. But I was at running special needs so you ran by my twice. It got pretty hectic at times. Hilarious to see what people put in their bags.

I would strongly recommend that anyone who is considering doing an IM go and volunteer. You will learn a lot.

Great races Jen, Arend & Fred!  Congratulations!

I had another friend doing the race and he said the course was absolutely awesome...could not say enough good things about the course and atmosphere.

I took the express lane for special needs on both laps.  I didn't really have anything in there other than a bit of sunscreen and there wasn't much need for that!

I agree on the volunteering suggestion, we've done it twice and it was both fun and informative!

Stomach is much better this morning.  Toast, a waffle and banana have all stayed down so I think i'm good.

I guess there were a few crashes out on the bike.  I saw one guy go down shortly after the start of the second loop.  I didn't see what happened, I just looked up and he was sliding across the road.  He popped right up and said he was ok though.  Another guy I know hit one of the cones in the road and separated his shoulder - he said there were 4 others in the hospital with him with similar injuries.  The same guy said a deer ran out in front of him on the fast descent on Duplessis, that would have freaked me out!
