Expert 997 North Central WV | Subject: RE: July Tri Challenge Central Can someone please tell me where the guidelines and rules for this competition are posted? Are we supposed to base our numbers on anything in particular? I don't have time to read through all the posts to find what I am looking for. Any time saving help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Mal |

Thanks, Mal At this point (as I understand it) the competition is a matter of trying to make 100% of your goal in each discipline. More specific rules and guidelines are yet to be determined. Set your goals based on yourself alone, what you think would be challenging goals for you for the month. |

Pro 5153 Helena, MT | Subject: RE: July Tri Challenge Central OK, roster for Team Hoss (It ain't gonna be Team Kim is Conceited, okay?). Sorry, I'm so late, I've been -Kimj81 I know I have 8 people, but can I please, please, please have Whizzer? She's expressed interest in our team and I think she can talk smack well enough to be on it. I don't think one extra will give us any unfair advantage. |

Expert 1099 Orlando, FL | Subject: RE: July Tri Challenge Central As long as we only track percentages and not totals, I don't see how having one more or less can change the outcome - it doesn't look like we're going to have a full team anyway, so I sure hope we don't track totals! Anyone else want to join the late great team ten? Anyone on team ten want to confirm and add your pledges? Come on!!! Make it FUN!!!!!! AB |

Set your goals based on yourself alone, what you think would be challenging goals for you for the month. That is correct - this Challenge is meant to keep you on track with training in All 3 Sports (hence, the name Tri Challenge). We have yet to workout a scoring formula. The Team Captains will be working that out in the Team Captains Powow thread. Once they have agreed upon a formula, the announcement will be made. |

Am I too late to join a team? Anybody want me? What am I fighting for? Karl, if you'd like to join Team Thunderbird (Team 9), go to their thread and post your July goals for all 3 sports. It's a tri challenge, similar to bike challenge except instead of aggregrate goal attainment, we are scoring on % of people who reach goal. Going over goal won't count towards score. |

All teams have 9 players except Team Five Alive. If your name isn't on this list, I don't have you on a team. |

Buttercup 14334 | Subject: PLEDGE INFO I'm just gonna lift this from Bear's bike pledge (with minor adaptations) to keep things simple: Pledge
The teams, through their captains, will each designate a single beneficiary charity. The losing team will make donations to the charity selected by the winning team. I would recommend using last month’s guidelines in selecting a charity:
but at a minimum limit it to a nationally known organization that takes online donations. (Thanks, Bear.) Edited by Renee 2005-07-05 4:16 PM |

Master 1558 Pensacola, Fl | Subject: RE: July Tri Challenge Central I wanted to see about each team choosing their own charity to donate to. We could still use the same ground rules for amount depending on winning or losing. This way more charities benefit from our actions. Just a thought.....I will post this on the coaches thread also. |

Because of the limited # of PMs allowed on BT, the best way for me to receive all the info is via email. Many thanks for your cooperation. And keep up the great work! |

Lethbridge, Alberta | Subject: RE: EMAIL to Renee your team's actual training Progress report? Do you have all the commitments for July yet, Renee, or do some of our captains need a reminder? Do you have a spread sheet we could copy? It looks like about ... 91 participants, all together, or have more joined? Did you get an email for all the teams or will you have to co-ordinate another common date, or dates, for mid-month progress reports from the captains? Or will someone else have to collect and enter 273 bits of data, from varying categories, out of the 91 logs? Just wondering how it's going... |
