mr2tony - 2011-02-10 9:09 AM So ... admit it. You did him.

eeeeeewwwwww if we are referring to the subject of this thread - as I said earlier, not if pigs fly and hell freezes over.

It's not just a river in Egypt anymore. Hey it's OK, some people just dont know the meaning of `one night stand.'

Indeed, I did not then, and I especially do not now, know if I even want to be on your total pole.  It is what I am trying to find out.

Tell him it's called a "totem pole" and that no, he's not on it. He sounds like a whiner who wouldn't appreciate being corrected.

Yes - your response would be - "I HAVE a totem pole - you ARE a total pole."

wow you guys are good - checked my trash today - for your entertainment, and BINGO:

"cat

Hope you and the boys are well.

Would you please let me know the name, and, if possible, where I can get ahold, of the diet that Noah and you were/are on.  This Tuesday, I would like to start a diet to shed 15 pounds (yeah more like 35)-- the last I am told I should lose.  Noah mentioned something about a "cleansing" part to this diet, which makes sense to me.  Hence, the request.

And, while I am perhaps bothering you -- definitely not my intention -- let me mention an eponymously named restaurant -- The Red Cat -- that I had asked my oldest daughter, (name removed to protect the innocent), to check out for me awhile back and, at dinner last evening, she mentioned that she had done so the prior weekend. Her review: it is "very romantic" and "the food is really good, too."  Now, I have no clue what a 34 yo woman considers "romantic," let alone "very romantic," but you might want to remember it for a try-out at the right time and with the right person.

Thanks -(name removed to protect the not so innocent)"

Well, he is persistent, and mildly amusing provided you skim over 99% of what he says.

I vote you should do him again. He deserves that much for using the word `eponymously.'

Is that spelled right?

Are you hypomanic?

A hypomanic episode includes, over the course of at least four days, elevated mood plus three of the following symptoms OR irritable mood plus four of the following symptoms:

pressured speech;
inflated self-esteem or grandiosity;
decreased need for sleep;
flight of ideas or the subjective experience that thoughts are racing;
easy distractibility and attention-deficit;
increase in psychomotor agitation;
and involvement in pleasurable activities that may have a high potential for negative psycho-social or physical consequences (e.g., the person engages in unrestrained buying sprees, sexual indiscretions, reckless driving, or foolish business investments).

I am a little afraid to...the whole don't feed the troll....and I am betting he tries again.  I mean really, needs to know what diet Noah and I are following??? What a lame excuse!!!!

But yes I am highly amused at this point....

pga-mike  - he definitely fits Personality Disorder - not sure he has enough criteria for mania....and certainly since the definition of insanity is repeating the same action expecting a different result - he is certifiable.

Only a person given to using such sesquipedalian writing while corresponding to a prospective significant other in order to give an artificial inflation of their own intelligence so as to became a more attractive mate, aka. peacock syndrome, must be a d-bag.

I just want to say that the title of this thread is pretty amazing and it should probably be archived somewhere due to the rarity of it's kind.

   I figured this was the truth of why this thread was lasting so long on page 1

Until I read his email to you.  OMFG I laughed like hell and then called my husband to tell him I am glad I wasn't trying to date anymore (I married latish in life).   I remember dating in my 30's and the first date "what about me" looks and comments after I said I travel alot for my work.  (like to africa or south america for a month or so at a time).   Um, You have to earn you way onto the totem pole, bucko.

ried0428 - 2011-02-08 4:22 PM

you have to let him know that you posted that diatribe on the web!

You are right not share this thread with him on a legal sense and a "don't feed the troll" sense, but man, that would have been my first inclination!

Haha I love this thread!

Good timing: not long ago I dated a guy for three days, broke it off, and he asked if we could go to counseling. Yeah.

Love the passive-aggressive end to his last email there. Is it possible that a human can be that insecure as to not be able to take a direct "no?"

So, um, yeah. You should definitely email him again.

It's all fun and games until someone like that crosses the line from obnoxious to threatening. So here's a vote against ever responding to him again. We laugh at it here but... yea serious bad vibe.
