x2 I would also like to know what Reindeer food is, not a tradition that we ever had.

Outside of sleeping like crap and tossing and turning all night, its Christmas Day.  Merry Christmas everyone.

MERRY CHRISTMAS MG!!!!!

reindeer food down these parts is oatmeal, rice, and brown sugar.  as you get older you forget the correct ratios.  fortunately the children always know it.  so they get to make it.

hope ya'll have a wonderful day!  its ~35 degrees here.  gonna sneak out for a quick 5 miler shortly.

Just so I am clear....do you have to go outside and pick all the reindeer food up so your kids think it was eaten?  Or do the fireants take care of it?

Endurance Ride done....I swear to God Steve is trying to kill me with some of the CT rides....the good news lots of calories burned, so lots of calories can be eaten.

Enjoy!

we let the dogs out early.  between them and all the birds there usually isn't much left.   but if there is any, well.... those reindeer couldn't possibly eat all of the food that people all over the world put out.

alright, back to the dinosaurs and dolls.

It is Christmas morning, and I hope all you are having a great day.

I just ordered the Jack Lelain juicer from an infomercial.  I have eaten so much JUNK over the last few days that I felt compelled to start doing something to eat healthier.  Chocolate chip cookies are like drugs to me.  I just can't stop myself.  Got to shed about 10 lbs that I have gained over the last couple months.

AF_SGT - 2009-12-25 8:07 AM Merry Christmas to everyone, may your holiday be full of love, family, and TRI GIFTS!!!

Hubby rocked my world and got me some fancy gloves for cold-weather riding.  Yay for him!

Most fun gift for the kids was a kitten that is joining our family in January. They did a treasure hunt to uncover clues and had to work TOGETHER... going from the couch to the trampoline to the mailbox to the Wii remote to the dog's food dish to the washing machine, where they found kitty litter and a picture of our new kitten. Made me cry because they were soooooo excited!! Grandma gave them each a Nintendo DS, so they are now officially checked out for the rest of the day. I will choose between mimosas and exercise now... We'll see what wins (but I have a feeling it will include more calories in than out!).

Merry Christmas to all!!!!

Nothing better then seeing your kids and the suprise on Christmas Morning.  Felt trouble during my run, to many late nights and too much Holliday food, but stoke I got my run in.

Happy New!!!

Just got back from being with the family...especially the two grand-daughters.  Also got to do some great cooking with my oldest...fun times.  Soon to be ex, her father and sister were all super nice and we had a great time.  Sister-in-law has lost 100+ pounds and still has another 100+ to go...but she looked outstanding compared to the last time I saw her in July.  So proud of her.

Gave both of them art/drawing sets...and they LOVED them.  The first thing they each did was draw me a picture and write on the bottom...."We love you Pop and we miss you."  Yep...I cried then and I'm frickin' tearing up just typing it right now....but it was so AWESOME.

Left there and was going to go to the movie theater.....web-site said it was open...Well somebody forgot to tell the people who should have been there to open up....CLOSED.  Bummer.

Hope every has had a great and safe Christmas.

Merry Christmas to everyone!

It is sunny and beautiful here and I will brag a little and say I had to put sunscreen on to do my 7 mile run and was a little bit hot in my running shorts and shortsleeves!!!

Tony, I had to laugh at your comment about assembling toys.  It took Kathy and I over a half hour to assemble our kitty's present and we laughed and said, it's a good thing we don't have kids, they'd be bouncing off the walls waiting for us to assemble their toys!!!

Barry, did you see that link I posted a few pages back for the web resizer?  Is your avatar still blurry or is it just the mimosas?

Have a fun filled day and night!  Off to eat and drink guilt free!!!

Just read a thread about NBC Universal Channel (I believe that's it) is showing about 8 years worth of Ironman WC events back-to-back on Jan. 1.  I read the thread in the Iron Distance boards here on BT.

If anyone has this channel and is going to burn a DVD I would be willing to pay to have a copy sent to me.  I have neither the channel nor the ability to copy one and I would REALLY love to have this for motivational purposes.

Thanks

Steve

Merry Christmas everyone! My Aunt sent me the best present EVER... a DVD of our families old reel to reel movies from 1968 to 1977!!! I cried watching it... many of the people are no longer with us, but what amazing and wonderful memories!!! It has also motivated me to get all the old VHS tapes from when my kids were little and put them together on DVD for them. Enjoy your loved ones this holiday season! Have a very Merry Christmas!Smile

Whew...echoing many thoughts that have already been written. crazy day. Girls put out the reindeer food last night as well. Some magic potion stuff that the wife bought. Got up open gifts, assembled so many things.  The best part is when you think something comes with batteries and it doesn't. Kids are so pumped to play the game, but no 'C' batteries in the house. Good times. This was the year of the princess in our house. Dress-up outfits, dolls, oh yes going to be a fun next 15 years!!

I got a few gift cards from the tri-store and running store. Will be cashing them in tomorrow. New bike shoes.
Anyone else get some good stuff??

I got some new pedals and cleats for my new tri bike which I put on right away. I'm trying to fit myself right now knowing that I will have it done professionally in the spring and I think I got the seat right but I feel like the aero bars should be moved up, but I couldn't figure out how (I guess I should get the Zinn tri bike book after all!).

I am comfortable in the aero position as is, but my knees hit my boobs. That doesn't seem right to me?? Or maybe I'm just not used to it since my old bike was a roadie?

We can do an "online" fit for you if you would like.

Just need a picture of you on the bike.  Should look like this.

http://www.slowtwitch.com/Bike_Fit/F.I.S.T._Tri_bike_fit_system/Hip_angle_24.html

Picture should be taken while pedaling and if possible have the picture taken when your foot is in the same position as in the picture.

I have a neat little program that can measure angles on a picture and we should be able to get you fairly close.

LOL, so many jokes about knees hitting boobs but those are too easy so I'll leave them for John.

It sounds like you might be a bit too compact if that is happening.

Your dad sounds pretty funny.....

We had a good Christmas with the family.  The man headed to our northern WI house this morning and I hopefully wil do the same tomorrow.  We still have a week of festivities to experience before officially closing down on '09.

I have to admit, I am getting fried with all this biking.  It was all I coudl do to go downstairs and do 3/4 of my technique workout.  While I am sure this is good for me.  I finally hit the wall and miss running.

First Christmas asking for Tri stuff!

I got Garmin 305 with HRM and Cadence from my parents. Yippee!
My stepsister, who also does tris, got me some spanking new swimming googles, Spinerval DVD (TOUGH LOVE...jeez), iBungee for shoes.   The rest of the stuff I got is money, gift certificates, etc etc.  Since I got money, I probably will buy some swimming training stuff and a Tri suit later on after I lose some more weight.

Yep, That Suzy Shain is a CYCLING MACHINE.  The only way I am going to come close to getting over 2 hrs in on the bike, is if it warms up enough this afternoon to get it in outside...which is the plan.
