when you say gear bag, BryanCD, what are you specifically talking about. they make it out like you only should use a small bag. can you give me a better description than they do,  about what they will allow?

I have nothing to offer at the moment except to say the weather down here in Arizona continues to be gorgeous and I'm getting antsy for race day now that the taper is really kicking in. And I wonder how often I can hit refresh trying to see if bib numbers are up yet...

I hurt my knee yesterday.  :-(  I don't know what I did, exactly.  Other than it started hurting part way through my run and by the end I could hardly put weight on it.  Then it ballooned to softball size.  Doing RICE right now and trying to get an appt with my black magic sports chiropractor.  Frack!  My bike is getting a tune-up, but I'm anxious to get it back and see if there is any pain with riding.

On another note, where are those dang bib numbers?  ;-)

P.S. Chris, thanks for the info!

Crap! I hope it's nothing...you've got enough time to get the swelling down and get it to behave. Hope it heals fast!

The info is on their web site. I packed a medium sized duffel bag.

Numbers are out!  I am 2287!  I hope the superstition of adding up the numbers to get your predicted finishing time don't hold true here...  Haha.

Thanks for the well wishes guys!  I'm trying to think positively...at least I don't have the flu anymore.  And if it doesn't bother me on the bike (fingers crossed), I should have enough time to walk most of the marathon and still finish.  But I've read tons of stories of people who have messed up something right before the race and showed up on race day feeling 100%.  I'll hope for that!

And how embarrassing that I misspelled "Softwear geek" on my job description.  Maybe they will think I work in the textile industry! Haha!
