I saw a study that claimed you are likely to live on average 4.5 years longer if your first name starts with an A as opposed to a D. Its 2.5 years longer if your name starts with M through Z. A quick inventory of dead people I know leaves me thinking this is true.

Morning TAN.

Starting to give serious reconsideration to the idea of my 140.6 next month.  While I feel I could roll out of bed and do a 70.3 tomorrow (and I'll be doing just that this weekend), the notion of going twice as long is really wearing on me and I have not been putting in the work to get the body accustomed to doing the longer distances.  I rode a very hilly 52 miles yesterday and my legs wanted to have me shot.

Training our bodies to work efficiently in Zone 2 will help us keep our HR and pace even throughout an Ironman. This theory would hold true for the bike and run portion of an Ironman race.
