Nice try with the young man thing.  OLD man here.  Love the smell of coffee.  Hate the taste.

Now for my serious question for the day and probably on YANTI can answer this.  Are Pop-Tarts a breakfast food, or only a training food.  And food, might not be the correct term.

I luvs my coffee.  One of my mostest favoritest things.

Pop-tarts... had some for breakfast this morning, so, umm... yes?  Not sure they are actually "food", though.  Perhaps just calories.

I also love coffee. But not poptarts. You're weird.

Why do banks insist on FAXed documents and that email is somehow insecure? Yet, they have a general FAX number which prints any document it receives and it lies there in the tray..

Oh, yes.  Have done the amusement park thing, movies, and we're all going away this weekend (while I do a HIM).  They adore me, which is awesome... life would be tough if they didn't.  Two girls, 5 & 9.  They're all coming over tonight and we're going to watch 'Teen Beach Movie'.

In preparation, I've been listening to William Shatner's "Mr. Tambourine Man" to dull the senses.

No, they probably won't be spending the night at my house.  If nothing else, I don't have a spare bedroom set up for the girls to sleep in, so if they did stay, we'd all be in the same bed.  Definitely a no play zone. If we were at her house, it'd be different.

Bah.... girlfriend is IN town, and it's still RIOW

How is the fundraising going for the marathon?

Fundraising is ok! Hit the halfway point yesterday

Waiting to see how much the BF kicks in... he pointed out the other day that I hadn't officially asked him to donate. So I sent him an "ask" email Monday LOL. We'll see.

Make sure you totally bat your lashes at him and look all super sweet when asking in person, hehe!

Good to hear it's going well, though.  That level of fundraising has always been kinda spooky to me... like, "what if I can't raise the cash?" kinda thoughts and stuff.

Every year I fund raise for St Jude when I do the marathon and I am always worried about raising the amount I committed to raising!

Can't believe I didn't open up TAN yet today.

I want an afternoon coffee now.

Also, the dating with kids thing has to be hard.  I probably would want to avoid them as much as possible.  I have seen to many times where kids love the new BF/GF or it's reciprocated and then the relationship goes sour and more now they get hurt too.  Which is rough, cuz I like kids.  Then you have the whole baby mama/daddy thing to worry about.

I know I don't have to worry about it, but when I play the "what if" game, dating someone with kids seems like a hard thing to do.  Which, unless you are in you early 20's may be hard to find someone that doesn't already have a few in tow.

LET ME ADD.  I'm glad my dad was not NEARLY as picky as me and took my mom who had three of us already.  He's the best guy ever and took us all as his...

My boyfriend has a 12-year-old son. "No kids" was always a dating criteria until him - I felt a lot the way you do Kido. Lots of emotions get invested and there's bound to be drama.

But for me, for now? It works perfectly. His son makes him the amazing person he is and I see so much love and goodness between the two of them. Avoiding the kid was not a possibility at ALL - I've been hanging around him since the 3rd time we went out I think. Dad is very transparent with his son, and wanted us to meet early.

The kid is old enough that he doesn't really want to hang out at home with Dad that much, he'd rather be playing a video game or Face Timing his friends - so he will eat dinner with us and then retire to the basement. We went on a road trip last weekend and he stayed in a hotel room with his buddies - it was pretty much the perfect scenario.

I've met and hung out (and drank a few beers) with BabyMama. They have a good relationship and are very respectful toward each other. Not to say there isn't drama from time to time, but it's super minimal. She is married with another child but lives really close by.

This is one thing I'm trying to get past (let's face it, at my age most women have a kid) but I just can't quite get myself to do yet.  I think it would take finding an awesome lady and then after the fact finding out she has a kid.  Knowing that up front it's just too easy to be all "op, nope, none of that.  adios".

Training our bodies to work efficiently in Zone 2 will help us keep our HR and pace even throughout an Ironman. This theory would hold true for the bike and run portion of an Ironman race.
