Subject: RE: BT IM Louisville watching thread!Oh, it's gotta be brutal. Check this out: Chris Hauth, 2nd out of the water, 5th off the bike: FIRST RUN SEGMENT | 4 mi. Now, just for juxtaposition, I grabbed Sergo Marques' numbers (2nd place, men). He's a 2:46 marathoner as part of an IM, and his 3rd segment ticked up by almost a minute per mile. By itself, you might attribute that to it being a hilly section of the course. But his splits stayed there, a minute or so more than his first couple segments. FIRST RUN SEGMENT | 4 mi. (25:24) | 6:21/mile | SECOND RUN SEGMENT | 4.3 mi. (27:10) | 6:19/mile | THIRD RUN SEGMENT | 4.15 mi. (29:43) | 7:09/mile | FOURTH RUN SEGMENT | 3.5 mi. (25:45) | 7:21/mile | FIFTH RUN SEGMENT | 4.3 mi. (30:53) | 7:10/mile |
