So far so good up here!  I'm at 13 miles = 19% done and I figure I'll be up to doing another 13 this Sunday.  My knees are pretty sore from yesterday but some ice, advil and rest should have me ready to go again, good luck to the rest of you!

Planning on going for 4-5 later on.  What about everyone else??

Ok age group people - I guess I am one of the youngest but as you hit the top of that 34 age group you  have to contend with they young uns. Although I heard that 35-39 is even harder. Is there nothing to  look forward to as we get older???

1,700 yard swim this morning, planned 13 miler this afternoon.

I'm at 12% already, so things are looking pretty good for me.  Assuming I get the whole run done today that will put me at 43.5/250.

And that is not even my long run for the week, 5 tomorrow and then 17 on Sunday.  Ugh!!

I'm not even at the level of worrying about where I come in in my age group!  Most of the people winning these things are 30 somthing.  So, even though I am 35-39, I'm just happy to pass anyone and not come in DFL!  Although, I did get schooled by an 80 year old in my first long distance (30K) run last summer

Those 80 year olds know ALL the tricks.

I think I'm doing the treadmill thing today, and will pray for a break in the weather to get my long runs in this weekend. I'm NOT going running in 20-30 mile winds with massive rain.

Hey 30 can be good too.  You'll be at the bottom of your age bracket and you can kick some azz there.

I am 14. something to my goal.  Little snafu with my shin the other day didn't help.  Felt ok today - glad I decided to do a 100 mile goal instead of 120.

You know... as I grow older, I discover that I do really stupid $h!t all the time, not just when I hit 30 or 40

Well, yeah.. I'd probably have to agree.  But the big age milestones sort of punctuate the stupidity... Like doing an IM when I turn 40... LOL

I'm going to take a gamble and say I'm the youngest...

But I'm currently the oldest in my age group and will be 25 in march yet will still be racing in the in the 20-24 age group for the 2007-2008 season.

In 2008-2009 season I'll be in the 25-29 age group.

But for the enticers they pile everyone in together for the 16-34 age group... Won't be in that boat next year that's for sure

Of course! Remember? This is supposed to be fun! And there's TONS of that to be had. Besides, most of us will never be quite good enough to win our age group - well, except maybe these ladies:

A few months back, Runner's World did a great article on marathoners. There was this 85 y.o. lady who had recently "cut back" to half marathons, and she laughed and said she won her age group just by showing up. I thought she was great. I hope when I'm 80-something I'll have to "cut back" to half-marathons too. The training time was just too much, cut into her day.

Oh, and check out the 76 y.o. nun that keeps completing Kona - she didn't even take up running until she was 47, and she's done 34 IMs, not just 34 tris, 34 IMs. Again, I hope I'm able to still think about doing Kona when I'm 70+.  That's awesome. Of course, she isn't keeping up with Desiree Ficker, but hey, only one other person did.

It's all good.

Another 13.2 down in the books.  Felt amazingly good considering how wiped my legs felt all day.

That makes my monthly total now at 43.7/250 or 17.5%.

Well, so far, I'm up to 15.6 out of 130 or 12%. 25 miles on tap for the weekend, if I'm not fighting off 70 mph winds and massive rain storms

L.E.M.ings  I don't know how to say this.  There is really no other way other than to come right out and say it.  I love you.  There.  I said it.  I really love you.  You are a sexy sexy running machine.  And I love you.  What?  Yes I've been drinking, but that changes nothing. I can not change the way I feel. You feel the same way about me?  Oh man.  You are smothering me!  I need some space.  I need to be able to run with other people. STOP CALLING ME!  No I will not come over to tie up your laces.  All right.  I'm on my way over....I'm so weak.
