Bah, religion talk trumped candy korn speak.  I hate it when that happens.

Whenever I get in to a good CK convo, god always comes up...  I think it's because candy Korn gooness IS next to godlyness...

I think it says that too, in Genesis 1:27 vs 2.0.  "in the evening of the 7th day, after god created man in his image, realized man needed treats, god said let there be candy korn, and god saw that this was good."

I'm sure it's there.

It's in the Book of Armaments, Chapter 2, in verses 9-21...in the part that he skipped through.

One of the BEST routines EVER!  But I'm a dork that way...

Three is the number of the counting

and the number of the counting shall be three!

I'm tres happy for the link.  I will be watching that after my lunch workout!

Tally ho and pip pip!

ETA:  It's always good to leave while on top....

Okay, how is this for a subject change - I think I just saw my replacement come out of the CFO's office. She didn't look like an architect, and I don't think they're hiring anyone new for accounting...

I probably have two more weeks here...haven't found anything yet

When did you pull out your "Jump to Conclusions" mat?

Cool!  We aren't Jewish, but we invited a couple and their kids to use our back deck, with a pergola on it.  They chose to build their own anyway.  Supposedly it is qualifies since you can see the stars?

Well...I suck at my job, I can't do the major stuff that they need done because I'm not a lawyer and I have no experience. It's a horrible market, so they need someone who can do it all without any help. I saw this woman in here the other day interviewing with the Treasurer et al, and I heard them say after she left "Make sure she interviews with ___ (the CFO)". She definitely does NOT look like an architect. We don't have many other departments and the departments we do have are kinda small - HR is only 2 people, marketing is only 2 people and they recently fired and replaced one of our marketing folks. They aren't looking to hire any excess staff because the market blows and they're trying to cut corners. They've already cut the accounting department down. So the only possibilities are that they are firing and replacing either myself, the other marketing chick or the HR lady (the other HR lady is the pres's sister, so she's not going anywhere any time soon). They like the marketing chick and as far as I know, HR lady hasn't done anything to screw up. So that leaves few options.

a kosher sukkah has to have 3 and one third sides (at least) and the roof cannot be solid, but needs to offer protection.

You cannot build it under trees....

I have a prefab - I can now build it in about 10 minutes. and then I got corn stalks for the roof and put the bamboo mat on top of that to make it kosher.

Sweet.  Thanks for the further info. I'll have to pass that on to the missus.  She was a Religion major (And history major AND education major).  You would think she would have remembered that.  j/k!

Actually, my mother converted about 6 years ago.  From Catholic.  Long story.

Anyway, thanks again doc.  I love your updates on the Jewish holiday's.  Makes me a bit more learned.

Or they are replacing the lawyer / boss that they recently let go. If marketing has 2, HR has 2 and your department has 1... my mind would go to that options first.

Prepare for the worst... Expect the best.

Where are the cowboys fans?

PACMAN JONES SUSPENDED INDEFINITELY

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones has been suspended indefinitely for his latest violation of the NFL’s personal-conduct policy.

Jones will be suspended without pay and will miss at least four games. After that, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will make a determination as to whether Jones deserves reinstatement.

The NFL found that Jones was involved in an alcohol-related physical altercation and had therefore violated the terms of his reinstatement, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported.

The suspension is the latest piece of bad news in a terrible week for the Cowboys.

One piece of good news: Ed Werder of ESPN reports that as a result of the suspension, the Titans will not have to send a sixth-round draft pick to the Tennessee Titans, and the Titans will have to send the Cowboys a fifth-round pick.

No - they got rid of lawyer because he was expensive - they wouldn't be replacing him. And my dept. has 2 - myself and my admin. My admin is not going anywhere, and he's doing just fine - and he's been here for a long time.

Given that when Paul created Christianity you had to be Jewish to convert it is kind of full circle Cool

Some of the more religious/observant jews I know where Christians (and often catholic) who became more fundamentalist and went to judaism.

I like that Judaism does not insist that it is the only way - works for me.  And as to whether Jesus was the messiah, I figure when the messiah comes we can ask if s/he was here before....
