i've been on both sides of that fight, kido, sorry about it.

why don't you try something fun and new for both of you?  jump off of stratosphere or something?

also - try starting the conversation at a completely neutral time.  not as part of the argument/being upset about what is happening, but on a normal boring night at home when everything is completely chill.  it's more awkward, but BOTH of you will be less emotional and the discussion may be more productive.

There IS no good time!  HAHA!

It's her personality to be very...  Flamboyant?  Expressive?  I guess that's why she got into performing.  You can't be a "reserved" performer unless you are Kristen Stewart or something.

I tend to be the calm, reasonable one and she is the over the top dramatic one.

Sometimes, that even works in situations!  If there is something where we get screwed over somehow, she goes at them in a rage (bad cop) and I step in calm/cool/collective (good cop).

It's not just one way (when she is angry) she is very bubbly, and very loving, but also very angry at minor things, very sad at minor things.  So all her emotions are on her sleeve, get magnified, and thin skinned - while I internalize just about everything.  Never overly joyful for overly angry/sad.

Arg... my "A" race of the season (and first anniversary of my first triathlon) was over the weekend and I was determined to beat my time from last year.  My swim and T1 times were both a few minutes faster, however the timing system didn't record any other of my times.  When I crossed the finish line the race clock was a few minutes slower than last year's time, however in general I felt faster.  My own timing messed up as well as my bike gloves hit the stop button on my watch timer during the bike.  I've emailed the timing company, hopefully they can figure it out.

Oh, bummer!  That's mega-frustrating; I hope they can figure it out.

Sorry nothing intersting for lunch...I had a salad too and even more boring as I brought it from home

I am so bored at work....they insist on scheduling the pts just far enough apart I can't do anything useful and enough to make me nuts doing nothing for hours at a time.  Really all I want to do is my tri training and think about IMFL.

Small bowl of home made Chicken and Noodle soup.  I forgot the home made oatmeal rolls on the counter, so hopefully the wife moved them or the dog had a nice snack.

I made spaghetti squash "pasta" with turkey bolognese the other night.  It was ok.  Not awesome like real pasta, but decent (healthy) alternative.

I have an acorn squash I need to figure out how to prepare the next few days.

I got two spaghetti squashes from my CSA this past week. Made a lasagna and still have like half of it left!

Definitely not as awesome as real pasta, but at least it's versatile and healthy.

That sounds amazing. It's all already roasted... but I could definitely try some with brown sugar.

If it's already roasted, you could puree it with some garlic, cream, and chicken stock, etc.. and make a savory soup.  Just ask Google about acorn squash soup, and adjust recipes for the fact that yours is already roasted.

Is that legal?  I don't think they can do that.  I know we have a mandatory "no vacation without special approval" weeks near the end of January and at the end of Aug/beginning of Sept. to accommodate the new school sessions so there is support available, but that's different.

i don't think it is legal, and i won't be adhering to it.  his exact words were "i strongly recommend you plan vacations for the end of 2014 because in 2015 you might not be able to take that trip"

Training our bodies to work efficiently in Zone 2 will help us keep our HR and pace even throughout an Ironman. This theory would hold true for the bike and run portion of an Ironman race.
