Champion 10550 Austin, Texas | Subject: RE: TAN #203: TANese New Year - Horsing Around Originally posted by lisac957 I am turning in my company iPhone tomorrow and picked up a Motorolla smart phone of some sort last night. I didn't even look at it, I let the sales guy pick one out for me - from the ones I could get with my trade-in at no cost. They area ll the same to me if they are not an iPhone It's very strange switching systems - I keep trying to press the home button that's not there - but I actually like the size of the new one better. My iPhone 4s that I've had for allllllllmost 2 years has now decided that it doesn't like to make noises and doesn't want to send emails to me, but somehow the morning alarm still works - which, arguably, is more important than either of the other 2. Of course, I still have 2 months to wait until I can trade the sucker in for a new phone. Sigh. First world problems. |

Sometimes I jusy have to scratch my head at the judicial system. Since when is video surveillance, police report, eye witness tetsimony and co defendant naming of a person not enough on a probable casue hearing? Such a waste of a day. Judges, who are lawyers, working with two supposed competing lawyers who know each other from doing lawyer stuff. Incestuous circle of self-protection. Very rarely does justice or fairness enter into it. The more lawyer stuff they do, the more they win. |

I'm trying out Ting right now (no contract, pay for what you use) with a Google Nexus. It's awesome. If my usage trend stays the same for the next two weeks as it was for the last two weeks, my bill will be $32. I might enjoy this. ETA: downside - having to outright buy a phone when I was due for my upgrade :-P Edited by ratherbeswimming 2014-04-23 5:00 PM |

How's the coverage with them? What network(s) does it use? Do you get 4G data speeds?

If it doesn't matter to Kido then it's merely a matter of whether they're intact or not... and if the standoff has finished. Do we have an update yet??? |

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police are on the scene of a standoff in the Desert Shores area. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident began around 7 a.m. this morning. Police received calls from people in the area who said a man, who seemed to be disturbed, walking up and down the street talking to himself. The callers were concerned he may have a knife. LVMPD sent an officer to check it out and the man assaulted the police officer with a knife that had a 12-inch blade. It is not believed that the officer was injured during the confrontation. The man then climbed up on top of a roof and began throwing rock at the police officers. The house is located on Secret Harbor Court, near Mariner and Regatta drives. The police have now evacuated residents in the surrounding area and are attempting to resolve the situation. Action News will update this story as soon as more information is received.
