I had a bad cheat last night. I got a pizza for my son but ended up eating 3 slices. :=( Mindless chow down

I've been lax about entering calories so I am gonna redouble my efforts.

Great job!!! to everyone who is down this week :=)

Sounds like lots of people are sick! Hope you all rest up and feel better soon.

I've been doing well - knowing that I will be posting my Friday weight on the internet definitely helped reign in the mindless eating over the weekend.

I'm jealous of those of you who get to ride the Vineman course - that's going to be my A race this year, but living in Kansas, I won't be able to ride it until race day. Speaking of which, I really need to start biking more!

Haven't gotten to the gym but am doing great on my eating. After the weekend juice plan I've been keeping it really wholesome and healthy. Am choking done some green powder drinks I already had, wow I hope it's nourishing my cells cause it's doing nothing for my enjoyment.

I know lots of triathletes arent' focused on healthy food but I know that if I am healthier and lighter I will reach my race goals that much easier (sprint in July, oly in Aug.)

HELL YEAH!!! Even though I'm not 100%, I still managed 6.45 miles in 1:11:30!!! That might seem slow, but my 10K PR was 1:28:56. Improvement rocks!!!

Kristen, you may be overtrained. I felt like this last year when i was pushing it hard through the week. Take at least one rest day and maybe some light recovery workouts until you feel more fresh.

There must be something in the air, I did the same thing. Wasn't feeling motivated to whip up anything healthy.

Great new research on artificially sweetened drinks and depression:

I'm reporting in with my weight a day early, since I'll be staying at my boyfriend's house the next few days and won't have access to my scale. I weighed in at 130 this morning, which is down 3.5 from January 2nd! I'm 100% sure that some of this is water weight, but even if a pound is from actual weightloss, I'd be happy. Now I just have to make it through the weekend without ruining any progress I've made!

My pool was closed today. I did a couple of fitness classes.  I think I will really be feeling them later on tonight.  He worked my core from every angle and then some!

Still dealing with this cold or whatever it is.  Ugg the scale is not going to be good to me tomorrow....lack of exercise and tons of soup....so much sodium!  Drinking a lot of water, but don't think it will cancel out the sodium.

Just got weight at the Drs office. I am up a pound. However, cold, lack of work outs are the culprit. Now that I am feeling better, I can get on with it. (knocking on wood). One little set back is 48 hours of no vigorous exercise or being in water. Good thing it is only 48 hours, I am leaving for vacation tomorrow and fully intend to be in salt water and pools!

I'll check back in in 2 weeks.

Was really inspired by Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead on Netflix. Not new to veganism, juicing etc. but found it inspiring and learned something. Juiced today, had chicken and veg. for dinner. I think juicing will be what I need to break some of my bad habits/cravings with food.

Tons of veggies, some fruit, I added a tbs. of almond butter to one. I just feel the need for something drastic. In the past just thinking about it would lead me to binge (not really binge, but overeat). We shall see.

Made it to the gym. Brisk walk and some light upper body as this is the first workout in many months. Can't get over how weak I've gotten. That will change.

Thats awesome! I am training for an OLY in June and working my way up to a 10K I can do a 5K in 28min but the 6miles is sapping me. I am up to 4 miles in 45mins so I would love to do a 10K in 1:11:30!!

Thanks!!

Right now, I'm training up for a half mary on St. Pat's Day.  Planning to run it in my Irish National tartan kilt and (probably) a green TapouT tee shirt.  :-)  {I wear TapouT shirts before every triathlon and during any running events... it's my way of reminding myself that I will not submit to the course; I may not be the fastest dude out there, but I WILL NOT QUIT!!}

I'm reguarly averaging 11min/mile.  Right now, I'm more concerned with 2 things:
1)  Being able to go the distance.  I'm working my way up by doing 4.5 to 5.5 mile short runs.  I'm on a self made program where I do a long run on Sunday (unless I have duty [24 hour work shift], at which rate I do it Saturday) and short runs for all my other runs.  I add .77 mile to my long run each week.  The day I'm set to do the half mary is the day I would be doing 13.1miles anyway.  :-)  I will also be doing a 14K run in mid-February which coincides with a long run and is actually 1/2 mile shy of what I should be doing that week... but it will still be fun.
2)  Getting to the point where I can do a 10K and never feel a need to walk.
If I accomplish these 2 goals, speed will come naturally!

Good luck with your Oly and training for it!!!  It was in an Oly I did my 1:28:56 10K PR.  Hopefully, the next time I do an Oly, that will be a sub 1hr!!!

Whoooo whooo! 162.8 this morning! Down from 167.6 at 1/1 and 166 since last Friday! Tracking on MFP seems to really be helping - and I haven't felt like I've had too little...I've had wine, I've had birthday cake, we go out to eat 2x a week...

Was up a pound this morning due to Thursday night margaritas but otherwise have been holding at 154 the last two weeks. This is down from 162 in November so I'm quite pleased with that. Goal is to get to 148.

Congratulations! I've been using MFP too. I admittedly don't tend to always use it through the weekend, but I try to stick within my average goal during the week at least. Keep up the good work!

207->212->

Now this week down 3 to 209.  It is my goal, my quest, my mission to get and consistently maintain sub 200.

Keep the faith, do the work, and eventually results will occur.

Good job all

Last Week 216.2, This week 213.4 - not sure where that came from, the only thing I  have really stuck with is the PB avoidance.
