Happy birthday Robin K.!

I’m glad to hear that you are back home, Robin NC! Hopefully they will get the fires under control soon.

Jennifer, I’m glad that you are moved enough that you have time to get back in the pool. I hope the renovation progresses as planned.

Howdy Grandma TJ! Sorry that the sidewalk jumped up and bit you yesterday. Bad sidewalk! Seriously, that sounds like something I would do :-/

I need a ruling.

How many Manatees can be in one place before the world explodes?  I think that we have done three successfully, is that correct?

Agreed, or even more!  Truly test the fates!

Edited to add: so, where are you planning a meetup, Janyne?

Signed up for a couple months of Masters. Went in for the first swim in a couple years tonight. A kid on the club team practicing just before us apparently knocked his head pretty seriously. Taken out on a stretcher, possibly on air. Ambulance, fire, and police were all on scene. Everything else was cancelled for the evening.

Yikes! I have konked myself doing backstroke a couple of times, once badly enough to have a nasty headache for most of a 24-hour trip back to Vietnam the following day, but had no idea it could be that serious. Maybe's there's an upside to not being very fast.

I have hit my head pretty bad backstroking into the wall more than once, you feel like a real idiot when you do it. I guess if you hit your head hard enough you could pass out and possibly start to sink and drown.

Wow, that's scary!  Hope he's OK.  Possibly air lifting, yikes.  Not exactly a great 'welcome back' to swimming for you, having to see a disturbing scene such as that.

Yikes. I hope he's alright! That's really scary. Anything bad can turn REALLY bad when water is involved.

I had to have another surgery on my upper AND lower eyelid last night. I had just the upper last time and it wasn't a big deal but this one left me looking like my sport might be MMA and not running.

I apparently have ocular rosacea (that sounds made up, right?) and it's driving me up the wall.

Hope that healing goes smoothly. I saw your FB post about surgery and wondered what it was this time.

Poll time.

Do you prefer one-piece or two-piece tri suits?

Heal quickly!  Just tell people a cool story like you went head to head with a mountain goat on a trail run or something.

One slip when hustling around a corner. I don't know what this was, but that's all it could take.

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
