We are thinking of purchasing one next spring-Can easily make payments for the year from what we spend on hotels during race season. Not the closest but the wife and I (were going to volunteer and do some BT strappin) have reservations at Taylorsville State Park (SE of Louisville), site 41 and plan on camping. M-Mcclain stayed there last year and said it was an easy enough half hour drive in and a nice area for camping. There was an Indiana State Park that looked closer, but with the fees involved it was quite abit more money since were from out of state. I normally can't stay at Koa's (we actually camp at very few private CG's) due to having Rottweilers, so I don't consider it an option even thou I won't have my pups with me for this quick weekend, but as mentioned there's one somewhere nearby. |

They can take a shuttle to get your bike. Yeah, my boyfriend didn't know that until later and walked it himself. IF you are using TriBike Transport, tell your bike picker-uper to drop it off there, versus bringing it back. I forgot to do that and we had to drop it off the next morning. Maybe this has been answered but I am looking at the Hyatt place Downtown. It says it is connected to the 4th st live. So is it that close to the finish? HOw far away is the bike area that I will need to go back and retrieve my bike from? How far are the Hyatt and Galt house apart? Very cool, that will be very helpful. Thanks |

About a 15 min. walk I believe You know what would be great, if IM Louisville had a website like the NA Sports IM's! Sorry for all the dumb questions but the plan now is me, my wife, our two kids who will be 3 and 8 months, along with two other couples with 3 more kids under 1. Location will be priceless. It really wasn't that bad walking from the finish line to the building that had food/massage's then walking over to get my bike.. it was some nice little quiet time for me to think about what I just did. also I'm sure the walking helped my legs the next day since I was walking pretty normal and could do up and down steps without any issue's. |
