Yeah, we've not only pulled ahead, but added some distance between us and those lucious babes who are chasing us.  Now, we all love those cute little girls, but this is about raw competition and we need to really bank some mileage over the next week.  A lot of you guys have races the last week of the month, so get those miles in this coming week.

Rock on, Bones.

We've pulled ahead, so far so good. Keep the momentum going, don't let up.

I'm on target so far, but my wife is going out of town this weekend and I'm on childwatch duty. I will have little to no chance to get in a ride for extra miles, unless it's pulling the double burley on Sunday which is subject to the weather, child temperment etc.

This means each of you has a little more resting on your back this weekend.

We do not want BT to be known as the tri site for guys who lose to girls.

Bone up!

Got to echo this: build on the momentum. Make this weekend your biggest cycling weekend of the month so far. I'm shooting for 140 miles over three days, as I've been stymied by evening thunderstorms twice this week.

Also, email, PM, or Inspire Me the guys at the bottom of our list. The easiest way to raise the group average is from the bottom up. Give those guys the help they need, you know the chickadees are inspiring their butts off.

Ride Lots 'boners!

You mean that cute guy in your jammer-fied avatar (courtesy of Swim Challenge)?

Well, at least half of your team backed-up your challenge loss by paying your dues. And we ladies thank you for it!

Had to wait until the showers stopped but got 35 in this evening, gives me 203/333 or 61%. Adopting the ladies' strategy of say-it-and-you-have-to-do-it, here's my short to-the-end-of-the-month plan:

  • Tomorrow- 70 miles
  • Sunday-30 miles
  • Monday and Wednesday-kid's baseball, but I'll try to get in at least 10 each day.
  • Tuesday and Thursday- 25- to 30-mile minimum each day.

Good news is that should bring me to a minimum of 375 miles or ~112%. Bad news is that will be my month's end as we leave on a family vacation, sans bike, for ten days. But all that was worked into my goal-setting, i think we'll be OK if everyone hits 112%.

got a quick 5 mile ride in this morning. I rode my bike to my Weight Watchers meeting this morning. So I benefitted from the trip as well as the meeting.

that puts me at 80% of my monthly goal.

I plan to go for a 10+ mile ride this afternoon, so it should put me very near my goal for the month!!!

33.25 this am.  258.5/350 (73.9%). 100 miles to go and 12 days to do it in.  On Friday, I'm going to ride the course of my next race (27 mi), and I'll try to squeeze in a few 20's and 25's this week, maybe another long ride next Sunday.  I'm feeling confident.

Got the 70 in, took one for the team today. Ride was an 8 out of 10 on the misery index, at least 30 was in a steady drizzle, the whole second half was against a headwind. Up to 82.5% of goal, though.

Great job today, Bear.  Got 33.25 in myself, in heat and wind, but considering it is less than half of what you did, and I had no rain, I won't gripe about my conditions.

Tough week in Park City riding hills in the wind. Today I did an out and back and it took me 52 for the out and 38 for the back. Why you ask? Damn wicked witch of the west sent her wind my way today...I think she is on the Gear Geeks team or something.

MTD: 498.5/700 = 71.2% to goal

I have reworked my schedule and I have at least 200 miles scheduled between now and the end of the month. If I get lucky and I have the time, I may get them in within the week to exceed my goal.

35 this morning. Puts me at 153/300. Big ride next weekend, plus I'm not planning on being at work for the next couple of days, so I should be able to go crazy and ride like a maniac in the morning before visiting Wifey. I've got a cause that's more important than my pride, so I'm sorry girls, but you are sooooo gonna lose this challenge
