kellc09 - 2007-11-03 9:16 PM any word on Mike? I dont see a half marathon split yet

FIRST RUN SEGMENT13.1 mi. (3:29:14)15:58/mile
FINAL RUN SEGMENT

If my math is right..if he does 2nd half Mary the same as first half he'll be right at 17 hours...hope he can negative split.

For those watching live, be on the lookout for zorro and a mullet wearing pimp they were last seen dancing in the stands.

Dan Hyte from San Diego has crossed the finish line.  He did it in about 13 hrs 54minutes.  This is at least an hour off  his only other full Ironman.   Way to go honey!   We love you!   Now get in some dry clothes and have a beer for us.

Your loving wife and daughter.

>>"Scott Benjamin must be hurting too. I expected him in by now"

Things got a little ugly for me about 5 miles into the run. I was on track for my goal of a 4 hour marathon but I started getting back spasms and pain shooting down my leg. Stretching didn't seem to help so I just focused on moving forward. Lots of walking, with some running when the pain would subside. Did manage to run the last 4 miles.

Finished an hour over my goal, but still managed a PR.

I recognized Joel from his avatar, and he looked great on the run.

Congrats to all the BT'ers who've made it in so far. I'm going to hobble back down to the finish line now.

Thanks for all the support.

Just checked in with the gang, and did a little math. T, if she holds the first half mary pace, will be under the wire. Mike's gotta negative split...by a lot. Let's keep fingers crossed.

WAY TO GO ALL BT FINISHERS!!!

Check this out -- according to Fleeb's last update, Brent/bschulte finished in 10:21:06. Compare that to the goals in his log:

Race IMFL 2007 Goal times: 1:05 swim, 6:15 bike, 4:15 run, total 11:45 (10:00 Transitions)

Ya think?

It's so much fun watching these over 15 hours people come in. They are so happy. I'm tired of seeing that woman's butt shake holding the finish line though. Argh. Now I just have to standby my computer to see if I get in tomorrow. But whomever is tracking everyone next year, I will be coming in just under 17!
