I can't wait to share. It was unreal.

It was also very nice to spend some time (and get chauffeured around) with TJ and Mary ( and their family) too BTW.

It was brutal and you loved every minute of it - you can't fool us!!! So, did you sign up for your next IM yet? Congrats again, Ironman!

Good question for you, Robin.  DID YOU?

I would so sign up for another IM next year if my husband would let me! The deal was that if I liked it that I could only do an IM every-other year. My bratty coach agrees with Greg on this so I have to wait until 2017.

So, Janyne, what IM did you sign up for?

Nothing that I'm interested in for next year has opened yet.  I'll leave it at that. ;-)

Congrats to all the racers last weekend, especially our new Ironman finisher!

My ride/race was a 70 mile out and back with a hill in the middle that's called "Little Mountain"  The top 10 people that make it up the hill get a polka dot jersey.  I've been wanting to do it for a while, so I decided to finally give it a go.  Apparently some Cat 1/2 racers in my area decided to do it this year as well, which changed the dynamic of the ride a lot.

https://www.strava.com/activities/369726253

Once we got onto the Natchez trace the ride started out pretty hot with lots of attacks to drop riders as quickly as possible.  Eventually the 1/2 riders managed to break away from what eventually became my group of 4 riders, but we still had a sizeable lead over everyone behind us.  We picked up one guy that got dropped from the 1/2 group, and he thought there were 5 still in that group.  Between their 5 and our 5 with the new guy, it appeared that everyone was guaranteed a jersey, so we worked together.

It turned out that there was really 6 in the front group and 5 in our group, and one guy apparently knew that and decided to attack with 1 mile before the climb.  He timed that attack a bit early however, and got dropped pretty hard on the climb.  As I crested the hill I heard "and here's #10" I did a quick check to make sure I was safe and cruised to getting my jersey.  After waiting for some other teammates I had a far tamer ride back.

Congrats Randee Ironman!! And to all the other racers!

We have made it to Copenhagen after an eventful day of a missed flight, missing bikes, incorrect directions... All is well now, the apt we are in is great and bikes are being put together as I type. Gotta get some sleep not much in the past 24!

Hopefully! It will just depend on when Boulder 70.3 is and possibly doing Harvest Moon again at the beginning of September. If not, I will be doing a few Olympics and maybe some sprints, even though I'm not a fan of sprints for me. I'm a distance person.

I can't wait to pick him up but it will most likely be Friday because I am away for work from today. Then I am away most of next week too so I have to find time to book in for them to do a complete fit for me.

Speaking of Matt TX has any one heard from him lately and how his mum is doing?

Random comment of the day:  last night I dreamed Janyne and her husband and I met at a race and hung out, although I don't remember if I raced, she raced, or both raced, although I think it was a running race, not a tri.  Totally weird, dreaming about people I've never actually met in person before...we had fun, though!
