I'm taking it easy this weekend.  DH is off to a bachelor party in DC playing crazy nerdy board games, so I'll be hanging out with little Miss E.  Also, my foot tattoo got finished today!  Check it out. I'm totally in love with it.

tattoo

Looks great! Been toying with tattoo ideas. On a pain level of 1-giving birth...where does top of foot land?

My son is #6. From the Frostbite 5k we did  on February 18

ETA: Well, I tried to link a picture here, but it's not working. I uploaded pictures on to my Frostebite 5k race report. I mostly wanted to brag about my son. He ran with his friend and the photographer took their picture three times. Hooray!!! My son is #6.

There's also a couple pictures of me. I tried waving this time, and then she also got a belly shot of me at the beginning next to a really cute little boy.

Your wave pic is adorable. And Ben rocks! Looks like he's got great running form (not that I'm any judge of proper form, he just looks fast!)

He is fast. :-) He could be faster if he tried running between races a couple times.

Oh we have quite a few half marathons coming up then!  It's my first, any tips?  My current longest distance is only 9 miles but I figure I will get a 10-11 miler in there somewhere before the race.  Right now I'm just trying to blow this crap out of my lungs.

Great tattoo Jen, that turquoise really does have a sort of shimmer to it.

Be ready for the Wall at about 7-8 miles. Where you think it's never going to end. lol  Do you have fav energy gu/shot blocks/stingers/etc that you've used while running? Definitely have them for race even if they say they'll have certain ones, not always fast/easy/available at the stations, and then you get stuck with ICKY flavors. (You've maybe thought through all this already, but it's what I wish people had told me.)

the wall is usually your longest training run distance according to Galloway's principle and it kinda was for me in the two marathons I did. But I loved the experience would love to do another stand alone one

So he says... Innocent

lol...I know all these guys. Some are flying in from the West Coast and will be really pissed if they don't play games! I think they will break long enough to do a nice dinner on Saturday night.  Even if there are other activities, I trust my husband enough to tell me and not do anything stupid.

Getting a tat on your foot has to hurt. Even so, I might consider it if I could be guaranteed that fish tats on my feet would make me a fish in the water!

It definitely hurts! This is my fourth tattoo and it hurt the most by far.  I got it as a celebration of finishing my PhD.

Parts of it are close to giving birth (like contraction, but not transitioning or pushing pain). Fortunately, it goes away as soon as the needle isn't on the skin anymore.  Foot was honestly worst of any tattoo so far even the parts of my shoulder on bone.

I love how it turned out! The colors, even on screen, are shimmery.

I think that's the green! It was really surprising to have that in there, but I love it.

nice tatt Jen. I have been thinking of getting one in honor of a friend who died last year but I'm just not sure. It would have to be somewhere that was easily covered because I don't think that the company that I work for would be happy if it was visible.

So Jen from your experience where on the body hurts the least?

Here is Yanti's "job" description when we covered this in the last group:

Uh ... I have no idea what I do to keep rolling in rice ...

Part-time (translation = full time) I manage our family holding company. Mostly this involves keeping my dad from killing people and keeping people from killing him (including me. Getting paid to not kill someone is almost as good as getting paid to kill someone ...)

Other than that, I write things. Bread and butter is doing due diligence and writing investment analyses (which always includes political analysis as well) for entities wanting to do business or projects in Indonesia.

I'm getting some advances for books I'm writing or translating as well. WAAAAAAAAY behind. WAY. Need to write more. Need more money.

I love you all thanks so much for the support.

Golly those pics are great. I strive to run like a child. Carefree and fast.

Yanti breaks the course up into segments. During a segment she will be praying for whomever has taken that piece of the course. Our job is to pray for her during that time period as well.

Last race here

During the race Yanti will think of/ pray for certain people during assigned segments. For example, you may be "assigned" miles 1-5 of the run. During those miles she'll be thinking of you.ETA: Chris answered first, never mind.
