if someone is training for an IM and they don't talk about it, are they really training for an IM?

I think talking about training for an IM is a recovery workout.  Heart rate stays low but you can still get winded.

Sure, I may have been one of the last names Mike Reilly called and they may have been tearing down parts of the Medical Tent when I got in there......but I finished. In a shockingly slow, like close to impossible to not beat. So....you better beat me or I will call you both silly names.

I fully expect to be called silly names regardless, and anything less in unacceptable!

By the way, since you brought it up... did you know that Monica and I are both doing a 140.6 this weekend?

I'm sure Tony will be more than happy to help with the calling of silly names in case you don't feel like you've gotten your fair share.

It's a good thing that our race was mentioned - I'm not sure anyone knew we had a 140.6 coming up on Saturday.

You guys are doing a 140.6? Oh, that's cool. Did you know I've done two? Probably gonna do another one next year but you never know. We'll see.

And I'd like to point out that we've already beat Brad's time for a real ironman, so this one will just be gravy for you, Monica.

Huh, you're right - I've already beaten Brad's time... and it was at a real IM race, so that totally counts!

Still thinking of possibly doing one next year, are you?  I think you're just trying to keep up with me now that I'll have done 2 after Saturday (provided I actually finish) and I've got IMChoo on for next year.

Ouch!

I love Amazon.com... where else can you get actual uranium, a book titled "A Practical Guide to Racism", the aforementioned coloring books, and "You Might be a Zombie and other Bad News"?

Oh, and Dave, they have one titled "Images You Should Not Masturbate To".

Been away from TAN all day, and trying to catch up.  So.  140.6 may or may not be done, but no location given, so probably not.  Food, Pie Hole, Books, masterbate

So since this is a fake 140.6 is it really taking place in NC or is it somewhere else???

Good luck, as I thought a 70.3 was a long day.  I don't know that this old guy could get a 140.6 done in 24 hours, let alone the times you guys will be finishing it.

You need something to cancel it out.....like wine or a shot of jack.

Since two negatives equal a positive, the wine will cancel out the drowsiness effects of the Benadryl thus making you peppy.

Science.

Jury Duty...
Could be getting work done.
At least in L.A. County, you are on call for 5 days and only have to show up if they pull your number.

In Northern San Diego County, it is just a full-on cattle call.

No reason to have more people than places to sit...
Well not accurate, I can crawl over people's laps to get a middle of row for a seat that fits 1.5 of my clydesdale butt cheeks.

*knock on wood*, I have never been called to jury duty...

How do they summon you in the first place?  I usually dispose most of my mail without opening if it doesn't seem official or important.

Viamail and the list comes from (I think?) voter registration.

I really want to be on a jury but never have been.

Training our bodies to work efficiently in Zone 2 will help us keep our HR and pace even throughout an Ironman. This theory would hold true for the bike and run portion of an Ironman race.
