That's just too bad for a Monday morning.

I think he just wants to start the week with a clean slate.

Oh WOW!!!

So just to get away from the bad, bad, bad Dad jokes...

Who has swim cords (tubes)? What you got and where did you get them?

I'm thinking that Shelia's workouts aren't enough torture and I need to inflict some more upon myself by doing the tubing too (stop laughing Yanti)

But I NEED a good laugh today of all days ... an evil laugh ... MUAH HAHAHAHA!

I do have the Halo ones, which are stupid expensive.

Then I have both medium-tension and high-tension from Reebok--(pictured here).

Anything with handles will work (even nylon handles). You just keep your hand flat like in swimming against the handle, and make sure to watch the videos on sheilat.com

I got my workouts in.

Shoveling all this damn snow. My hands and arms are so frigging sore. Shoveled twice last night to try and stay ahead and then shoveled for 90 mins this morning with my SO out shoveling as long as I was. My SUV was Buried under the snow that drifted in our drive way.

I have snow about 3 feet deep on the roof of the SUV.. I call that a work out. I missed yesterdays workouts too because I shoveled snow instead two times. Most weight lifting I have done in forever.

Best part was we were faster than the neighbors with snow blowers.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!   I am consistently impressed with your love and caring. And I am even more impressed after learning more about the number of other challenges. Congratulations even more!!!

I hope that everyone had a great weekend!

Yanti - Continued healing zen for Smoky.  Super duper congrats on the twelve years of sobriety.  {{hugs}}

Stacey - I got a set from Amazon for a bout $10.  I need to re-read that section and get going on that.  I like that this one had the door anchor.

Salty - How's Stevie?

Workouts indeed!  Lots of core and arm stuff in there.  How are your arms today?

Finally finished the Tour of Sufferlandria yesterday.  This group was awesome in giving me an extra bit of incentive in keeping going.  I received encouragement both from inspires here and people on Strava.  I'm glad to be here.

Signed up today for what will be my first official race as a roadie.  March 1st I will race in a 20k TT followed by a 25 minute Crit.

It's gotta be easy if it's that short, right?!

I was dying laughing at this. I watched it again and again.

I like the Grinch in Yoga class video better. Not from super bowl but it makes me laugh every time.

Thought that commercial was great. The Toyota commercial with the dad dropping his daughter at the airport... yeah, I just looked at DS2 and said, "yep, that's it".

ETA: And I loved the Liam commercial!

Would be great if you could just roll through the finish of the TT and right into the Crit.    You can totally ride a TT bike in a pack, right?

Looking forward to hearing how each of them treat you!

I am dragging my butt in here a little beat up lol

I did an awesome, amazing, beautiful run over a mountain with a(n unsuspecting friend, bless her soul) on Saturday but got into some poison oak or ivy I think all up on my arm and a little on my stomach. Which was exacerbated by some late night beach volleyball, so, poison oak rash + volleyball shaped bruising on the forearms. Here is a shot of me running through the trees along the ridge.

It was an 11 mile point to point run from east to west, up over a 4,000' mountain or so.

I've also got a bit of broken heart, as does the rest of the city and 12s around the country.

As for Stevie, and thank you for asking, it seems her heart disease has progressed so we need to see a heart specialist. And we have to do that before we can do anything about the lump because the heart is everything. So, not really much news. Just another step.

Transition area is going to really suck now, even worse if they add a time penalty if you get hit.

Speaking of SB ads, My FB is blowing up over the 3rd Qtr Bud commercial. The analysis of the commercial is scathing (and entertaining) I may have to read some more while I fuss over my self made craft brew.

Wow, what a good news/bad news post. Glad you had a great hike and had fun at volleyball, sux about the poison oak. Prayers that Stevie will be ok without too much medical intervention.

As for the game. Wow. That one had the country on the edge of their seats till the last second.

Yeah, kind of a strange dig to take. Especially considering they just bought up one of our local "craft" breweries...like literally last week.

I'd probably trip over a ball.  Then again, I have lots of practice tripping.  My dog's favorite game, especially when I'm in a hurry, is to put her toy on the top of my foot with each step on the side she's on.  My gait around the house tends to be very odd because I'm always stopping on that foot to avoid tripping and landing on her or kicking her in the head.  It's very cute--and extremely annoying!

Hahaha! Of course when you are in a hurry

Oh man, yesterday I came in from my long run which was cold and rainy. I was wearing shorts and my legs were ice cold. I sat on the couch and my cat came over to promptly sit on my lap per usual. When his paw touched my leg is was like he was struck by lightning. He pulled it back really fast and froze. Then he stares at his paw, which is now lifted up, and spreads all his toes apart. Then he sniffs it, and licks it then looks at my leg again like WTF??? He comes back over to my icy leg and touches it again with his paw, just to confirm, then runs like hell.

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
