Found it:

Studies have shown that drinking a glass of wine a day improves heart health, reduces forgetfulness, boosts immunity, and increases bone density. To celebrate Drink Wine Day, check out a local winery or liquor store, send your friends a virtual toast with a free eCard, or host an impromptu wine tasting! Cheers!

Nice! I gotta google that one : )

I did google it, because I wanted to see if it was real.  It is.  Incidentally, it is also national battery day.  Batteries need a day?

Doug, I think you need a rest day.   Said with kindness because I KNOW you normally would not joke about something so serious.

And one more, although this is sort-of SBR related... I want to be able to run the entire Wilderness loop at Cougar Mountain without being 100% convinced I am going to die.

DONE!!!

First time ever running the whole mother f'ing Wilderness loop sans walking (I never walk much, but a few walks here and there always leave me feeling defeated). It wasn't fast, but I did it!! Then we ran a bunch more after that (more hills, too). It's all good. Awesome run day. Thanks again, Steve!!

Playing the 4-pages-of-posts-catch-up game.  How do I keep getting so far behind?  I need to quit my job so I have more time for all of you Wink

Linda, amazing story.  Thanks for sharing.

Kyla, awesome run!

Who's racing this weekend?  Somebody remind me, will you?

Roni has a marathon in Texas...on some beach or something crazy!

Good luck, Racers!!!  Sorry if I missed anyone.

Finally got a few minutes to stop by and catch up. OK I admit it, I've recently become addicted to "Words with Friends" and it is consuming all of my "online" time. Embarassed

Linda you are such an inspiration to me and so many others! Love love love hearing your story!

Kim- please spill all the details of your run training, NOT boring in the least! We want to know your secrets

Kyla- Congratulations fabulous trail running woman! I have been to Wilderness, and if I am ever able to RUN up that trail I will be having a party. Fantastic job on a VERY tough trail!!!

Suzy- I hope you get back on Wisconsin time soon!

Good luck racers!

Sorry to anyone else I missed... have to get to bed to run 26.2 on the sand tomorrow. Looks like it  might be a windy and rainy day, but I love the rain. So, it's all good.

Linda - great story, you're an inspiration! I read your COJ story and I have to say I would have shouted something ending in OFF right in her face, you're reaction was far better; she was a stupid idiot, but remember what goes around comes around, karma catches up with people...

I'm not gonna race tomorrow, I think a long ride and longish run would do more good at the moment, good luck to anyone else who's racing.

I've got 2 bits of good news, 1. My MIL has gone home after staying with us for the past 3 weeks....2. I've bought a new bike!!!! I took it out for a ride this evening and it's GREAT!

Weather was awesome today. Met up with a couple of friends from FSseries in Butner, NC and rode 3.5+ hours. One of the guys is doing IM Louisville. Being me, I of course forgot my biking shoes. 55.15 miles in running shoes! But I feel good post ride!
